Riding Mass Transit Is Like Inviting 20 Random Hitchhikers Into Your Car

Once in a while I'll ride the free-ride area of the C-Train through downtown Calgary after work before walking the remaining 2 miles home. Yesterday on the train I had to pull an Indian (Native) off of an Indian (East)... the latter being threatened, pushed and called a terrorist by the former, then told to get off the Native's land and to show him respect. Irony, a word apparently missing from the Turtle Island dictionary, stayed well hidden from this individual.
This was a minor incident.... not a very common one, but also not very rare. I can handle myself, but if if my wife or kids had to ride the LRT every day I'd stuff their bags with some of my bear spray.

"it's all the transportation we do got"
Sigh

Where was this bus thing ... Africa?

It's much better to put all the hitchhikers behind the wheels of
their own cars and let them have at each other - only a nutcase would
drive on most city streets.

Yes, Calgary has a problem with Indians (Native). They contaminate a
nice park downtown. Why we put up with them I don't know. The trend is
for them, having been given an inch, to take a mile.

Hey john s, them two is -in- school, y'know. Imagine the dropouts.

But hey, won't be a problem much longer. After Detroit defaults on a couple of bond payments, there won't be a bus service or schools to worry about. Or cops, or firemen, or city workers...

" Why we put up with them I don't know."

Because there are not any other options. The police know that arresting them is an exercise in futility. They go inside, they sober up,they come out, they get drunk. Most do not have a future or past that is any different. It will get worse.
The new generation is being taught by their leaders ,the media, and the progressives that they are owed,so why get an education, their lottery numbers are about to hit. Reality says otherwise.

One bright side of the flood in Calgary is that 'Alpha House' (which does outstanding work maintaining the inebriates and helping the addicts of all races) has been relocated for the past few months. It gives my neighbourhood a much needed break.

Where's Charles Bronson when you need him?
