On Thursday, John Gormley hosted Michael Ignatieff (mp3) on his show. Interesting interview, I'll probably buy and read his book.
Odd juxtapose happening if anyone has been paying attention to the world that Liberals inhabit.
There is a very different narrative about Ignatieff now than they offered to Canadians up to May, 2011.
But yeah, the CPC is evil incarnate. Or something.

Who's this guy?
Scott Reid wrote a column on Iggy and his book yesterday. The remarks ,from a fellow Liberal, are not flattering.
Reid summed up,"Ignatieff lost because he had no substance". He also called Ignatieff a "dilletante", a term we usually reserve for Pierre Trudeau.
Bitter,bitter.
The LPC is still fixated on a "star" rather than a person with real experience and ability, perhaps it's in their nature to try to win through deceit.
I am glad to see all those liberal pundits and Liberal insiders still don't get it. It is the Liberal party that is flawed, empty, corrupt, full of hubris ... . Michael Ignatief always seemed to me to be a decent and honourable man, who was railroaded by his own Liberal party and not by Stephen Harper.
To now see Francis Russell quote Peter Russell (in one of your links) saying Iggy is wrong on how parliament work make me laugh out loud.
As Iggy seems to say now, his mistake was not putting a stop to the Coalition of Losers (TM). His other was coming back to the Liberal party at all. The Liberals built up him to be most brilliant man in the world, now they rip him to shreds.
Great entertainment indeed!
But that's the liberal party right ? its about style over substance . my guess to be quite honest is the libs will once again be trounced next election regardless!
Harper and Kenny are reaching out to immigrant groups like no one has before not to mention immigrant groups are giving them praise for reforming immigration, I am not happy with some of the things harper has done but he has so far stuck to his party platform (mostly) he seems to be staying the course navy, new fighter jets at some point etc. etc. honoring our military vets reforming immigration ...I am not sure about the elephant in the room the soon to be 1 trillion dollar national debt and unbalanced budgets I think with his time left he will start to reign in spending he has shrunk the gov in some parts but grew it in others.
trudeau wants to legalize pot!
And spider eyes mulcair is still in hulk mulcair mode just smashing and banging everything in incoherent sentences blaming harper for his under cooked pasta! the guy is a freak show! so yup I know the conservatives are really liberal light but they are sadly the best of the worst
Kinsella's editing of events is funnier than Ignatieff's.
Let me finish that sentence for you, Warren:
"I wasn’t fired, but I later quit my war room boss post after Ignatieff got rid of all of my friends...
...which, coincidentally, occurred after party fortunes started to fall, which, I might add, had nothing to do with the quality of the advice we were giving him."
If Ignatieff lost because he had no substance, why on earth would the Liberals choose Justin Trudeau? Justin has FAR LESS 'substance' than Ignatieff.
And yes, the Liberals want a 'star,' rather than a person who understands what's required for Prime Minister and can DELIVER.
"And spider eyes mulcair is still in hulk mulcair mode just smashing and banging everything in incoherent sentences blaming harper for his under cooked pasta!"
LMAO! That is priceless! Mulcair is his own worst enemy...or enema, whichever you prefer. Even the biased press find him 'abrasive.' :)
Because Libs are urban elitsts and out of touch with Canadians. And they depend on the lamestream media to push their candidate.
And chutz...you actually answered your own question. No policy, no direction just get that pretty? face out there.
It's that simple.
Remember that little essay a while ago that explained what "Laurentian Canadians" are?
The dissolute remnants of the Laurentian clans cling to the dreams of power by entitlement while the criminal element of the LPC cling to the hope that they can once again place their boys in the Canadian government.
Ignatieff, Trudeau, Dion or any of these amoral and vacuous cretins are just different masks for the same creature.
The Laurentian elites have been morally bankrupt in every way since 1968, but unfortunately enough LIVs have not figured this out yet.
Yeah, you're right, but a vacuous face gets old fast:)
Thanks for posting this track. Iggy and the media still like to trot out the "attack ads" as a reason why the evil, mean spirited Harper was able to usurp the throne again. Two points - an attack ad is an ad which attempts to inaccurately portray a rival, often using unsubstantiated claims by sources unwilling to be identified. It is based on image and innuendo rather than facts, and often predicts dire consequences for relatively minor actions. Secondly, the real attack ads came from the MSM (Wafergate, robocalls, long census forms) and were directed at Harper. The CPC ads merely were doing the MSM jobs for them- telling Canadians what Iggy has actually said, or what JT has actually done. (Or not done. He has not done much, really.) The CPC would not need to run negative ads if the Media party would do their jobs. The Libs and NDP, conversely, do not need to run attack ads, as CBC and CTV do it nightly for them on the evening news. Many Canadians saw through the media party slant; that is encouraging. Many Canadians, however, still buy the media meme - if you do not recognize the cultural war we are in, the repetition of the accusations can have an effect.
poor Warnut, still hasn't got past his hurt of being fired:-)))
as to the count, still running around in circles, and will never "get it". It's the electorate that "chooses" you, not the party!!
We miss you, Count Iffy!

Talk about dodging a bullet. This guy would have been the biggest disaster of a pm ever. He would have made Obama look good.
Wonder if Count Iggula still tucks his dress shirts into his underwear? That was the kiss of death, as far as I was concerned.
If the Liberals had the capacity to learn from experience they would not have chosen Justin of Trudeau to lead them. At least Ignatieff had some successes of note in his life, although politics wasn't one of them, neither was residency in Canada, he would not look quite as vacuous representing us around the globe as PM IF he got elected.
As to why Iggy wants to keep writing 'somebody done me wrong tales' speaks to someone who has not accepted the people's choice, evidence his ego is driving him to blame everyone but himself for making a bad decision, being suckered in, lured and by desperate Liberals with promises which were pipe dreams, he simply didn't know enough to say no.
Liberals are again doing the window dressing thing with Justin, lots of glitz, no substance, a Shiny Pony in the window and nothing in the store.
That was a nasty one, a real girly man thing. There was no chance of Iggy getting down and dirty and risk showing plumbers crack. Doing a tuck-in was a bit too tight assed for the average Canuck.
;)
Oh Yeah?
So, ya figure Turdo la Doo is cooked when they find out he tucks his tails into his thong?
Naw, "Turdo la Doo" doesn't worry about tucking his shirt in, he takes it off.
"he takes it off"
and then sings his thong song:-)))
Captcha...pqxpqv
"Because Libs are urban elitsts and out of touch with Canadians. And they depend on the lamestream media to push their candidate."
BINGO.
Limousine Liberal$. And, they just don't get it: Pretty face, shiny hair, legacy name, are all that are needed to continue to dupe the unsuspecting public.
It hasn't worked in the past seven years, so what, other than sheer stupidity and willful blindness, makes the Librano$ think it's going to work now with The Toddler?
When it comes to "pretty face", I'd say it's in the eyes of Liberals only and they're desperately trying to push it, as they foist upon the people the most immature candidate ever hoping we won't notice what's lacking every time he opens his gob.
