More from the Shutdown Nazis.

This sort of thing is entirely in line with Obama's pettiness - do everything his way or he will go home and sulk, and throw eggs at your house in the middle of the night. Na-nana-naa-nah, I got yoooouuu!

Heard yesterday that the viewpoint access for Mt. Rushmore was also blocked.

When will the US nimrods (that means wise men) figure out the bureaucracy is choking off the delivery.

Ralph Klein figured it out decades ago and re-directed the money to the point of delivery.

Does anybody know if our federal gov't still insists on a 5% budget decrease every year? Even though that program had been in place, haven't heard much sqwaking from the usual suspects.

Saw an awesome Pshop yesterday re Mount Rushmore - showed the Presidents each covered with a Leaf fan style paper bag over their heads.

Come to think of it, anyone with an Obama bumper sticker should have a bag over their heads.

I love how Canuckleheads are just now getting this...

It has much to do with Obama's psychopathology. He is a narcissist, and is reacting
in these extremely petty ways because his self-image is exposed as flawed. The amazing
thing is that so many Yanks ascribe the problem to Booosh or the Republicans in general.
Not Ann Coulter, who is as articulate as the rest of the congressional GOP are inarticulate:

NPS is actually removing handles from trail water fountains.

This is kind of exciting.
I've never lived in a country that has gone out of it's f'n mind.

If the overlooks are on state controlled roads, and not Federally controlled ones, the state should remove the barriers, then patrol the area to cite anyone putting up barriers with littering and obstructing traffic. And bring the drug dogs just for the heck of it.

Via Breitbart:

On Thursday, White House press secretary Jay Carney launched into an attack on the Tea Party, suggesting that conservatives were thwarting the will of the people and perverting House leadership on the debt ceiling issue and the government shutdown. “We should put everything on the table,” Carney said. “But what we cannot continue to do is punish the American people which is what the Tea Party Republicans are doing in the name of trying to extract partisan demands.”

Methinks the Spite House is charging others for their own felonies.

Well after the WWII vets had to storm their own memorial with wheelchairs, tourists are hastened out of Yellowstone by Park Ranger "Gest*p*"...

You're lucky it's still Oktoberfest; because next you vill all be speaking german ja?

Its too bad that Helen Thomas wasn't leading the charge for the press corpse; but she has gone on to her eternal reward.

When you know you're been milked by the press corpse; you should drink more beer.

I guess the average American hammerhead cannot understand the concept of discretionary spending, since their own lives may be out of control.

Yet, the American people voted in the Tea Party candidates.

toilet, and obumblechuck is tanking also, so maybe ppl are PO'd at the whole shebang, and they should be.

Exactly.

John really thinks that the nation should bow to the First Secretary.

"Shutdown Nazis" is a useful polemic. But it is dubious that the NSDAP would ever have
countenanced such activities. Adolph had a certain respect for German citizens,
provided that they were ethnically German.

Not at all, my dear John. The Republicans should increase the intensity, not
decrease it. Their
policy of moderate obstruction together with eventual capitulation is a sure-fire
loser in every way. They might lose now, they might win, but it is best to go down
with guns blazing.

we saw this 3 yrs ago driving thru minnesota. all the parks were hoarded off, even roadside rest areas. quite wierd. due to budget standoff. all the radio talking heads were worried what the rest of the country thought. guess what nobody noticed.

I see that David Goldman is of the same mind. He puts the case much better than I.
As he says, John McCain, M. Romney, L. Graham etc. are failures and losers,
and if they are followed, will give the US a couple of decades of Democrat rule
and the Detroit-style economy and Detroit-style sink of poverty and crime that goes
with Democrat rule. Popularity doesn't
matter much, as the GOP doesn't have any. So Goldman thinks that the best course of
action, for the House Republicans and for the US as a whole, is for the Rep. Boehner
et al. to continue as they have begun, and let Obama through his intransigence
and stupidity precipitate a constitutional crisis.

The Tea Party is light years ahead of the rest of the country....in the same way that the Reform Party was light years ahead of the old parties in Canada and which forced the Liberals to start listening to people. Obama is playing with fire. He is playing a very dangerous game.

H.L. Mencken (born 1880 - died 1956) was a journalist, satirist, critic, and Democrat wrote this editorial while working for the Baltimore Evening Sun, which appeared in the July 26, 1920 edition.

"The larger the mob, the harder the test. In small areas, before small electorates, a first-rate man occasionally fights his way through, carrying even the mob with him by force of his personality. But when the field is nationwide, and the fight must be waged chiefly at second and third hand, and the force of personality cannot so readily make itself felt, then all the odds are on the man who is, intrinsically, the most devious and mediocre — the man who can most easily adeptly disperse the notion that his mind is a virtual vacuum.

The Presidency tends, year by year, to go to such men. As democracy is perfected, the office represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. We move toward a lofty ideal. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron."

Thanks for that link. Very talented girls in the last one. Enjoyed that.

From here:

"Vaillancourt was one of thousands of people who found themselves in a national park as the federal government shutdown went into effect on Oct. 1. For many hours her tour group, which included senior citizen visitors from Japan, Australia, Canada and the United States, were locked in a Yellowstone National Park hotel under armed guard.

The tourists were treated harshly by armed park employees, she said, so much so that some of the foreign tourists with limited English skills thought they were under arrest.

When finally allowed to leave, the bus was not allowed to halt at all along the 2.5-hour trip out of the park, not even to stop at private bathrooms that were open along the route. . . ."

The Republicans had better not cave. This is deplorable.

Hey they wanted a shutdown, they got a shutdown - what'd they expect?

Why's the Right always so whiney about things they brought on themselves?

Troll-Face (can I call you Troll-Face?),do you think people will thank Obama for being an enormous jackhole who manhandles tourists and veterans?

I'll let you think about that.

It's a tough one to swallow, but troll-face and his pals have basically won the long war. If they hadn't, lots of shooting would have already happened. They're still wrong though and it's still worth hurting them at every opportunity.
