The people awarded the prize who've actually deserved it can be counted on the fingers of one hand: Carl von Ossietzky (a pacifist who exposed German plans for re-armament, which pre-dated Hitler); Andrei Sakharov (who publicly rejected and exposed Soviet communism); and Liu Xiaobo (who exposed the Chinese Communist Party).

Most of the rest have been dupes or collaborators of the enemies of Christian freedom, globalist fronts, and fifth-columnists and traitors in high places (Willy Brandt, Martin Luther King, Barack Obama), with an emphasis on the ones who succeeded in selling their people to the enemy (Menachem Begin, Yitzhak Rabin, F. W. de Klerk, David Trimble...their name is legion).

Anyway, did you really think a bunch of rich Swedes were going to let a little girl a platform to expose Islam? They might as well have passed out flyers in Stockholm's Muslim ghettos looking for volunteers to wire bombs to their cars.

Preferable to that--for Nobel's sake---would have been, again, Nobel's liquidating his stock in his firms and distributing the proceeds anonymously to the needy of Sweden (in 1896 want and hunger were still not unheard of among the peoples of the Christian world). The Prizes were not charity, they were marketing, his attempt to salvage his reputation and the reputation of his business empire in the eyes of men. The Almighty is not so easily fooled by hypocrites.

Le Duc Tho rejected the medal in Dec. 1973 when it was presented to Henry Kissinger and him for the Vietnam Peace Agreements. Le Duc Tho was honest and knew that the war was not over. Hell, I was 13 and knew the war was not over.

The Nobel Peace Prize has been nothing but a very bad joke for some years so why would one expect the committee to have grown a pair this year. Giving it to the young girl would have resulted in a world wide fatwa and half of Europe would have been burning by nightfall.

Huge stocks of them can be whipped up by any industrialized nation in a very short period of time. Removing Syria's current stocks may only temporarily keep the Syrian government from having them.

he was supposed to be the watch dog and do something about Iran getting nuclear material/weapons

and they gave one to Obama for...well...no reason, no accomplishments at all

I remember a time when the Nobel Peace Prize was an honor virtually unequaled in a world where "peace" was a serious objective desired by all civilized people. And that peace was the peace of a law-abiding civilization, not the peace of submission to thugs.
