Worst scrolling page ever.

Whatever happened to good usuable web design? All these FB/Twitter/Instagram/Flikr etc etc sites that auto-add content at the bottom as you scroll operate like they have HTML-Tourettes.

I remember again why I never -ever- went downtown in NY unless it was for surgery. The place is a freakin' zoo where there's no fence. The sight of normal people walking around -ignoring- unmedicated nutcases who were acting out insanity on the sidewalk, as if it was nothing... made the hair on my neck stand up.

These days downtown Toronto is increasingly looking like NYC. I don't go there anymore either.

Because I hate when the hair on my neck stands up.

Phantom, you're right about downtown TO. I live downtown.

Your mind gets infected by all of the craziness, the nutbars, the panhandlers, the impersonality of everyone, unseeing, rushing around with a cell phone in one hand and a Starbucks in the other. So few people connect in any meaningful way. It's clear we don't share a culture anymore. There are just too many competing "culchas" and the centre's not holding: There is no centre anymore.

Yes there are nutcases like the panhandler whose sign says 'f you pay me', but many of the pictures are compelling. Older couples, working stiffs, children...
I probably spent way too much time looking at that.

It's Tumblr.
Front pages vary, but if you type archive after the .com/ in the address window, then hit -enter- you get a page that's much easier to look at.(works with all Tumblrs)

Then you just hit the individual photos in the archives you think are interesting.

batb, my condolences on your place of residence. I used to live at Bay and St. Joseph St. in '89. Titanic pain in the @ss of a place to live. Can't imagine age has improved it.
