A Speech In Cairo

Well, thank the Lord that Bambam got there first. Of course, see how much good it did him.

Somebody needs to get a little lower in his bowing to despots.

Russian military intelligence has been assisting Iran for the last few years, and just look at how peaceful that Country has been since. I expect the same success in Egypt.

This is like the good old days of the Cold War, but only one side seems to be playing.

Obama ain't Ike.

Russian: Ahlan wa sahlan to you, Mr. Minister

Egyptian: And zdravstvujtye to you, Mr. Secretary

Russian: And where is Mr. Obama?

Both, in unison: Who cares? (raucous laughter, knee-slapping, farting, and shoulder thumping)

So how will Russia play both sides?

The only commonality between Assad, the Egyptian Military and the Iranian regime is wish to fight hardcore Sunni's.

But the Saudi's said they would fund the Egyptian military. Maybe thats dried up.

Such a mess.

Looks like Putin is working to surround and isolate the Saudi's to cut a better deal on Oil and Gas pricing.

Vulcan 3D chess vs a tic tac toe player...

The Obama Foreign Policy in Action.

I do not blame the Egyptians or any of our previous allies if they start looking for a more reliable ally. KSA and many others are also looking. Three and a half years is a Looong time for the world to have to live with this idiotic, bumbling foreign policy. And if we stupidly elect Hilary!, it might be eleven and a half years.

Obumbles stumbles yet again. the clown prince of the UN

When the Russians are being precieved as more reliable than North Americans. With the reality being they generally don't betray their allies. Like the USA has done since Vietnam. We have a real problems folks.
In the end we have done ourselves immeasurable harm. What good is it for any Nation to go after the idea of Democracy, when its seen as just decadence for the political class. Liberty only for the Rich. Voting has now become fixed. Meritocracy is rare.Geeing a head from obscene taxes impossible. While taxes are used to take freedoms away to bloat an already excess political elite. We don't even stand by morals or our God any more. North America has become a death fixated relativistic culture of self satisfied Government beggars. We murder our babies, kill our handicapped, jail our elderly. Promote suicide with death panels. Both industry & populace are on the dole. Who looks up to that?
That's just us, Europe is in almost a conquered land now that stands for nothing while being pillaged by immigration.

We allow our industries to be demolished by radical groups that destroy industry. By regulation will kill technical progress. Our political class is so rotten it can't even make moral decisions.
Really if your from a poverty Country what benefits can you see , except to come here to plunder what's left of a once great society.

Give him a break, he will get back to this after he fixes his broken website.

rd, you have it right. Jimmah definitely is now the second worst POTUS in US history and the gap is widening monthly.

Revnant Dream, you say the whole comment well. The US betrayal of allies began with the 1956 Hungarian revolt when the Hungarians were led to believe the US would support them.

I have too many personal reasons for not having good thoughts about Russia, but Revnant is right about Russia not betraying allies. Imperial Russia mobilized to support Serbia in August 1914 after Serbia was attacked by the Austro-Hungarian armies. Soviet Russia stuck by as well as terrorized Warsaw Pact allies. Tito was the only communist state other than China that thumbed its nose at the Soviets. Even today Russia is sticking by Syria, and I suspect that a Syria in Russia's orbit is safer for us that a Syria controlled by al Quida.

Russia always works toward a long range strategic plan rather than hoodwinking voters through the latest NYT or CNN sound bite.

Jamie, nice joke, and then they raised a glass of straight vodka.

Everything old is new again!

(Still waiting for Edward Snowden to denounce Russian intelligence-gathering activities. But then, that would make it truly awkward for him. Still, he could always bolt to the nearest Ecuadorean embassy, I suppose.)

I view the distancing of USA foreign policy away from Saudi Arabia as a good thing for Canada. Egypt is a Saudi surrogate so the Russians being there is a confirmation of a possible reproachmant with Iran. At the very least the USA policy in the ME should be more neutral between Shiites and Sunnis. They should be played off one against the other. At the very least American young men should not be asked to fight Saudi wars.

Perhaps America can disassociate themselves from what I consider an international OPEC con to prevent increased Canadian oil production to the 6 million bpd. Both OPEC and Russia would be seriously hurt by such Canadian production.
