  1. It’s the deep ocean hot water stored from the last 15 years of global warming that is causing the ice to spread out.

  2. yet CTV blurts that the arcitc “is the warmest its been in 44,000 years”……..did they forget about the ice age 11,000 years ago?
Jeebuz, the mass mediots really are that stupid!

  3. You’ll never get a big fat government grant and tenure with that attitude. If you want to get along, go along.

  4. Watts Up With That (WUWT) webside has excellent coverage of both Arctic and Antarctic sea ice. Go to the tab at the top of the WUWT Home page. Select Reference Page then Sea Ice. Lots of graphs and photos.
But my favorite for watching the sea ice visually is the Centre for Ocean and Ice – Danish Meteorological Institute. You can go to this link and watch the sea ice grow day by day in the winter or shrink day by day in the summer. Select “Sea Ice Concentration”. Dates are top of picture.

  5. And from the Goracle, Suzuki and the IPCC we get………crickets…….. There’s no plan B except to blame global cooling on global warming. All they are sure of is that it’s 95% certain the problem is man made and they will need billions more to save the planet. I’m 95% certain that a hundred years ago they would have been strung up for destroying so many economies with their voodoo science but in those days the MSM could smell a rat, where today the MSM is the rat.

  6. Meanwhile, back at the Wildrose Ranch:
    Going, going

Wildrose Leader Smith under fire for hedging on reality of climate change
EDMONTON — Alberta Opposition Wildrose Leader Danielle Smith is coming under fire for refusing to say whether she believes climate change exists.
NDP Leader Brian Mason says Smith is being “weasely” by refusing to say if she believes in the science of greenhouse gas emissions but at the same time promising action to combat it.

    Gone

Wildrose leader Danielle Smith embraces climate change
RED DEER, Alta. – Alberta Wildrose Leader Danielle Smith, under fire by critics as a weak leader and climate change denier, announced Friday she now believes climate change exists and that mankind is at least partially to blame.
“I accept that climate change is a reality, as do our members. I accept that there’s a human influence on it,” Smith told reporters as her party delegates opened a weekend policy convention.
“I leave the debate about the details to the science about (to) what extent it is and how fast it is occurring.”

She could have added: I accept that there is animal influence on it too – cows, moose, bears in the woods. Not to mention bugs, cockroaches, butterflies flapping wings. Meteors from space, the sun, the moon, the cosmic clouds. Volcanoes, earthquakes, plate shifts. . .

  7. actually rats are intelligent and make good drinking company, (J)urnalists, not so much
PS; I used to have a rat named Pat, who would sit on my shoulder as I read and sipped a beer or three, and she would nip my lip occasionally to “taste” the beer:-)))

  8. Yea….my apologies to the rats. Didn’t mean to drag them down to the same level as MSM journalists.

  9. Yeah well, anyone with any savvy, could see through the bunkum from the get go. The Viking ruins in Greenland, allegations of Antarctica melting at an average temp of -30C…….
Then there was the crude attempts to make “The Medieval Warming Period disappear…”
Claims of more extreme weather with a warming arctic…..when common wisdom is the weather is an interaction between cold and warm………
    Them dogs don’t hunt…..

  10. Hopefully some Wildrose members are taking her to task for drinking Al Gore’s snake oil.
sasquatch and peterj, truth to a leftist is whatever suits their agenda. History before 1848 or 1917 is not relevant to them.
That was an interesting map of New Zealand, but does not suit the AGW religion agenda.

  11. The fact that we humans breathe and use resources logically means there is some level of human influence.
Trouble is, only humans have cash, so none of it can be extracted through collective guilt from other creatures and especially the sun.
Any person willing to voluntarily send money to an expanding government for whatever reason is free to do so.

  12. You know the political class has truly run out of ideas when its ‘save humanity for future generations’ raison d’etre becomes waging mythical battles like fighting climate change. What they saved the world from poverty, ended the abuse of women, found housing for all the homeless, and granted free medicine already?
BTW don’t ya just hate it when a party like WRA gives you a reason not to vote for it? Well done Hubcaps Smith you have now given me a reason to NOT support the WR party! One of the same reasons I don’t support Redfraud. Well done indeed. Where’s Ralf when you really need him. sigh
