Monte Solberg: Warming talk cools

All of this should be good news, and yet not everyone is happy. For some reason, many climate change warriors seem disappointed that things aren't quite as bad as they thought. If so, they probably won't want to hear about the Arctic ice cap either.

That cooling is climate change; see, everything's been accounted for and it's people who are responsible. Due to the inability of event the dumbest to understand how "global warming" causes global cooling, the IPCC instead talks about climate change. And people are the ones responsible for this change in the earth's climate from the perfect Mediterranean climate that the whole world had for millenia prior to the invention of the steam engine.

So, no matter what happens it's all the fault of greedy industrialists and people who drive their SUV's and fly to distant places for trivial reasons. Everyone must reduce their "carbon footprint" and live on a diet of leaves and grass; that is except for the very important people who know all about why climate change is happening who need SUV's, jet planes and large houses that are warmed or cooled with the season so they can perform the crucial task of educating the population about human induced climate change.

I'm sure these "very important scientists" are betting that the bulk of the population is far too stupid to see through this "scientific" explanation of climate change; yest they were smart enough to see that the "global warming" causing "global cooling" was a scam but the climate change scam is far better put together. After all, 97% of their "scientists" agree with this.

Yes,and 97.5% of politicians agree with them, or pretend to in the name of tax collection.

Time for Canada to follow Australia's lead and fire whatever bureaucrats are making a living off this phony baloney.

"Yes,and 97.5% of politicians agree with them, or pretend to in the name of tax collection...

May I finish that sentence for you DM?

...and the remaining 2.5% don't have the guts to speak up."

The IPCC report writers were reviewing their notes, where they discovered that now that there is zero evidence Kilimanjaro's ice caps/glaciers are melting, they're now 97.5% confident of it!

Oh wait it's OK, AGW is true, 16-20 years of cooling while CO2 levels rise is merely "regression to the mean." Were regressing to the mean on two levels, one as global temperatures continue to fall, the mean temperature of the last 50-100 years is confirming no variance caused by human activity. Second, the watermelons are regressing to mean, stepping up their smearing of any dissent from their Giaic view, as they attempt to save what's left of their careers and reputations.

When the public learns what they knew all along, that Mann, Suzuki and Gore et are rent seeking charlatans, that $trllions of taxes have been wasted, they will be shocked and outraged, just as they were shocked and outraged when they learned Lance Armstrong was taking performance enhancing drugs, just as they were shocked and outraged to learn about Adscam, which they already knew about.

Same s**t, different day.

Hey, most of us on this blog are Canadians, eh? Canada (except for lala-land on the Pacific)
is bloody cold in the winter. The miseries vary somewhat - the bonedry cold of the Prairies is
different from the snowy deep cold of Ottawa, which is different again from the manifold
lousiness of the weather in St. John's. But it's all lousy. Vast stretches of Canada are too
cold for agriculture or to live in. Global warming was good news for us. And now it's not
occurring! That is just ant-Canadian! I PROTEST!

Loki says it well.

The Luddite/Marxist coalition will not give up easy, nor will the politicians and bureaucrats who have bilked trillions from their taxpayers.

And of course they have been aided, not challenged by lazy leftist lamestream media:

A prime example...one of the subtitles claims 'Humans are to Blame'.

Ron, thanks for that link. Not sure what Dr. Jaccuzi's handlers were thinking if they actually let such questions through to the high level maggot. OTOH, it may be that in Canada, those who know of Dr. Fruitfly stay far away from his lectures and he attracts only the true believers whereas in Australia the fact that he's a fraud and uber-hypocrite isn't as widely known. Looks like he's doing a good job in educating the Australians who aren't as handicapped by terminal politeness as a lot of people in Canada are.

Interestingly, during my discussions with people about "climate change" I have yet to find one who knows anything about the data or the very embarrassing hiatus in warming. Generally all I get is " says it's warming and that people are the cause". When I push further with some questions about the credentials I either get a quick change in the subject of the conversation or get accused of being a tool of the oil interests or whatever leftist bogeyman the individual thinks it's appropriate to utilize as a non-answer. Alternatively I get "what about the drowning polar bears - don't you care about them?".

Part of the problem is the increasing innumeracy in society as well as people not doing their research. Considering that I believed the CO2 hypothesis when it came out, my position was attained by doing a hell of a lot of reading and some calculations which made it abundantly clear that we were dealing with the scientific hoax of the millenium. What the 97% of scientists believe in "climate change" statistic means that 3% of scientists haven't yet heard about ice ages and Milankovich cycles; such a statistic is meaningless. I'm sure that prior to Pasteur's rather convincing demonstrations that close to 100% of scientists believed in the theory of spontaneous generation to explain the spoilage of food. What is a more worrying statistic is that 99% of politicians don't care whether CAGW or climate change is true but instead view the whole process as a means of extorting vast amounts of tax revenue from the public.

It's encouraging that imposition of the CAGW scam was attempted on the population of Australia as this is one group of people who aren't afraid to call a spade a spade. One of the advantages of having a continent settled by former criminals - unlike Canada which seems to have been settled by statists fleeing the "anarchy" of the former British colonies to the south.

The global warming faction, many of whom are research scientist who have made a living promoting the concept, are in turmoil. Obviously this group is not restricted to scientists. Most are run of the mill folks who see an opportunity to make a living off the taxpayer.

What distresses me more is the number of so called conservative politicans who have used 'global warming' to take their chunk of flesh out of the taxpayers as well. One should expect such behavior from progressives but conservatives have jumped on as well. Instead of challenging the science it has been a free for all at taxpayer expense.
