None of this is a surprise, but this bit is really annoying.

The green assault on affordable and useful energy has been going on in Germany for more than two decades. It's forced the utterly insane shutdown of Germany's nuclear reactors, and only now does BDI feel "it can no longer remain silent"?

Cowards. Fools. Driveling idiots. I don't blame Greens for being insane. Rabid is the norm for the Greens and quite incurable. But I do blame German industry for its cowardice, its silence in the face of sheer stupidity. For too long the industrial sector imagined that it would all blow over and somehow they could work things out. Well now the dead birds butchered by the turbines have all come home to roost. Growth is less than one per cent. Which is to say that if this is the economic heart of Europe, the patient is terminal. Just like the 1930s, the industrialists and bourgeoisie have remained silent while ignorance and primitivism stalked the land.

And now, to continue the bird metaphors, their goose is cooked.

Yesterday, I wrote a somewhat detailed email to the Sun's managing editor picking apart their coverage of climate issues, highlighting recent developments in the arctic and with the IPCC, and recommending they provide more balance.

It's magic.

Very well said. Unfortunately European society has to some degree been brainwashed for decades by the likes of the fruit fly hippie and it is only when their backs are against that they find the courage to fight back. As you say, like the 1930s.

This fear of green wackjobs is not the only issue that has paralyzed. The other being afraid to use the words describing radical Islamist terrorists and their quest to take over the world. But that is another topic.

The Aussies sure took a round out of the old sanctimonious hippie.
