After King Radio wrote and recorded it in the 1930s, and Harry Belafonte reprised it in 1959 at Carnegie Hall for fat white liberal women in muumuus, Allan Sherman created the definitive version in 1962 when he disassembled Belafonte's famous recording for spare parts: here's My Zelda.

Woman makes tasty and nutritious sandwiches for her boyfriend, posts the recipes and photos online. Liberals are outraged.

No inefficient windmills or solar panels for a country that enjoys economic growth and understands that cheap energy is the key to success.

Allan Sherman was the original Al Yankovic! He did hundreds if
not thousands of parodies.

I was reading some articles on the Internet about Canadian tax laws and came across this. Might this be SDA's very own Hans?!?

MSNBC's Krystal Ball:

“The GOP is saying to young people, ‘We would like to have the government stick an unnecessary transvaginal probe if you want an abortion, but when it comes to health insurance, don’t take any government help.’ And if you die an agonizing and unnecessary death, one that could have been prevented by the health insurance reform that bears the president’s name, at least you know your death will not have been in vain. You will have died to serve the noble and patriotic cause of hurting this president and denying him a victory.”

Yeah, that's it: there are millions of people who really, really want Obamacare and the only reason they oppose it is because they want to hurt the president and deny him a victory, because he's only half-white.

Ball's MSNBC segment, btw, is called "Krystal Clear."

Whoops - Robert posted the video of Krystal Ball's segment on the main page this morning before I woke up.

Sorry Robert!

Ace of Spades:

Years ago South Park parodied the Comedy Stylings of Whoopie Goldberg by depicting her on stage and saying nothing but "Republicans Suck" every thirty seconds. The long gaps permitted the wild cheering from the audience.
But this parody is no longer parody. And it's not just no-talent comedians engaging in DKos level thoughtlessness, but highly paid 'experts' in high-profile positions at the major networks.
If the media looks at 30 or 40% of the population -- or 49%, per today's NYT poll -- and can only explain their political opinions as either "irrational" or "racist," then this represents a devastating comment on the insularity and provincialism of the media.

The tolerant left...

Guido Barilla of Barilla pasta and sauces said he would not use gays in his ads, that he prefers the traditional family.

This has "set ablaze" the gays and their leftist friends, they are up in arms and they are trying to convince everyone to boycott Barilla products.

They post hundreds of vile comments on Barilla's facebook page

If they succeed in destroying this man and his company more people will hate the gays, and they will be right to hate them as in this case the bullies are the gays and their leftist friends.

Guido Barilla never said we should bully gays or mistreat them in any way, but gays and their leftist friends believe it is perfectly fine to bully those who have different opinions and to destroy careers and reputations.

Union bosses aren't keen on Obamacare, either. They must be racist. http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/unions-and-obamacare_756298.html

Too bad we are not able to buy Barilla Pasta here.

The gay boycott worked wonders for Chick-fil-A. They saw massive increase in sales as normal people showed their support.

That would be one and the same Robert...

From the Universal Declaration of Human Rights

Article 25.
• (1) Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, including food, CLOTHING, housing and medical care and necessary social services, and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his control.

Of course the court got it wrong because no one had brought up this Article before, and thus I suggested that if they wanted to delimit clothing as a deduction then Parliament should take the time to legislate a limit on clothing deductions wrt to the Income Tax Act.

But I did manage to get the foreign content limit on RRSPs removed as well as change the legislation on the disability tax credit to include Type 1 diabetes as a 'life sustaining therapy' after Rev Can's love letter from Dr. Mengele to me.

"IPCC AR5 Press Release: Oceans Ate “More Than 90% Of The Energy Accumulated Between 1971 And 2010″!

By P Gosselin on 27. September 2013

The IPCC has issued a press release on the release of the AR summary report for policymakers. You can find it here.

We are witnessing a disgraced science, one that is desperately clinging to catastrophe and relevance. The Summary Report for Policymakers (SPM) resembles an amateur magician’s show where everybody already knows all the tricks used to create the illusions. But the policymakers will act like they’ve seen the show for the first time."

I agree. Daniel Pipes is the son of Richard Pipes who was an expert on Russia and wrote many books about Russia's history under the old regime and the new. National leaders often sought his expertize while formulating policy regarding the Soviets.

Good on you for trying, Hans!

The question came up for me personally because I recently bought a suit. Haven't bought one in 25 years. Why? Because I have my own little software consulting company, where I work from home 99.9% of the time. I only bought the suit because a long term contract of mine is soon coming to an end and I'm going to have to engage in interviews again for the first time in a while. That's what the suit is for, or at least will be 95% of the time.

Take any computer used in business. Does anyone really think it is used strictly for business ALL the time? Of course not. So why can a computer be written off 100% for my business but a suit can't be? I don't get it.

Robert, I thought there was provision on the tax form for tools, coveralls, etc. Would suits not also qualify?

Btw, when we were in Europe this summer, we visited relatives near Detmold and my second cousin's son is a computer software programmer. He told me something interesting. They produce software for many different businesses around the world, including France, as well as Quebec. The Quebecers said programs for them had to be in Quebec French as France French was not the true French. Talk about narcissism.

This going to end badly.

Diplomacy via twitter? You can't exactly nuance a position in 140 characters.

Rouhani has deliberately gone public with this because there are already diplomatic avenues that can be pursued.
