Well that little interrogation revealed some inconvenient truths....

The same elements that refer to consensus, credentialism and authority are much like fruitfly guy and choo-choo.....really have no credentials....

Hit back twice as hard.

Lets face it, a oil pipeline will hurt peoples feelings.. First you get emotionally involved with something that has nothing to do with you.. Then you safely build a political identity in a scott free atmosphere of protest and political discourse..

I know I'm right because your wrong.. I know you are but what am I.. Twice around the outhouse and then its lunchtime..

They call them hearings but nobody is listening.. They should call them talkings..

"WHAT QUALIFIES YOU, OTHER THAN YOUR ACTIVIST TITLE?!"

The only real question, ....beautiful.

An unfortunate five minutes for a warmist. But WTF regardless of fact we're screwed anyway.

I could only listen to half of it before I was absolutely disgusted....the US does more damage per yr to the atmosphere than Canada. Our oil is cleaner than the blood oil of the Mideast. I have been up to Ft. McMurray and it is beautiful. If you float along the river, you will see oil leaking into it, that is just nature. Next to the mine is reclaimed land and the Buffalo are back grazing on it. There is more pollution in the cities than there is at Ft. McMurray. I just wished people would grab a brain before they open their mouths. Used to like Redford, that actor guy and that other guy(the singer) but now I absolutely have no respect for either of them...they are just two mouthpieces who do not know what they are talking about. Rot in you know what America and get your oil from those who are trying to kill you, makes a lot of sense to me.

Does it really Matter any more? The Pipeline will now go East. Both BC, & America lost out of billions in taxes , if not thousands of jobs. They are the big losers now.
All for dogmatic green Religion.
My pity is reserved for those who wanted work, but now are denied by plutocrats with ideology, who will never work a day in their lives.Punishing those who need to eat to stay alive.

No it won't go east. There's Quebec in the way, and Maurois has been singularly silent on this issue. The likelihood of the east pipeline is about as likely as Quebec agreeing to renegotiate the Churchill Falls agreement.

As satisfying as it was to see someone use facts and intelligence against the religious zealots against the pipeline, I don't see that we are winning the argument. I agree with oldidiot and cgh; it's still doubtful that any of these pipelines will go through anytime soon. The parasites are winning...

"Irving Oil signalled its plans to build the Canaport Energy East Marine Terminal at its refinery mere hours after TransCanada Corp. (TSX:TRP) announced it would proceed with the Energy East Pipeline, an ambitious $12-billion project"

The question he should have put to her is this - "If Keystone is built and providing you with cheaper reliable energy, and the evidence continues to mount that AGW was junk science and we are actually cooling - at the end of the day, when you go home, will your climate change activist convictions, allow you to continue driving your family car, Lighting your home, or heating your home or storing food in plastic containers derived from the evil filthy tarsands oil? Just how far will your junk science convictions drive your own self sacrifice?"

BTW: I loved the expert advise you gave when you said having a major private sector funded infrastructure project in an economic down turn, which provides both cost effective energy and more energy independence, has no up side - spoken like a true self-deceiving special interest zombie. If the offer is still open to "debate anyone any time" on "climate change" (formerly known as green house gas Man made global warming) I'll arrange for you (as well as the blowhard rep from Illinois who also pimps your eco-alarmist BS) to have a chat with Christopher Monkton or Tim Ball.

Unhitch our wagon from the U.S. as much as possible. Ship to the far East for more money. Then buy up U.S. property when their economy implodes.

How long before Warren Buffet's RR loses patience with having to haul
all that Oil Sands oil down to pipeline loading terminals in the US?
Even with Canadian companies being billed for the extra expense of
railway transport, it must be an awful nuisance.

Looks like she picked the wrong day to mess with a farmer. Silly socialist.

Listening to the representative from Illinois and Ms. Kleep reminded me of the speaking tactics of Bolsheviks, and it is difficult to see how the United States of American became the great nation that it was. There could not have been too many of the likes of both of these people with any influence during the first two centuries.

Good for Representative Johnson for showing up her total lack of any scientific credentials exposing her radical behavior.

Wayne, agreed, it does appear that the parasites are presently winning. However as the world is slowly moving toward outright war with radical Islam fraudster parasites like this woman will get short shrift. I hesitate to dignify her with the descriptor "lady".

Leftists shouting down or attempting to shout down any opposition to their views is a stock and trade of them.

Where does one obtain an ugly stick? The type used on the representative from Illinois seemed very effective. I want THAT one.

Kiljoy;
I was a big proponent of Keystone XL as the financial logic of declogging Cushing and thusly increasing the price received by Canadian producers made sense. Now I believe it is in Canadian interest to pursue overseas markets and diversify away from USA sales. I now prefer that this pipeline not be built.

Canadians should be investigating those interests who are financing opposition to Keystone, Northern Gateway, Trans Mountain, Energy East etc. IMHO the eco supporters are being used by those who will be most hurt by a Canadian oil industry capable of exporting 5 - 6 million bpd. The obvious ones are USA multinational oil corps who have nothing invested in Canada and major investments around the world and particularly in the ME. OPEC doesn't want to see a major growth of Canadian production as it will compete with their own production. Most ME producers have spent their way to a minimum sale price of $90/barrel to meet their commitments. Increased Canadian production equates to a national security threat to many producers. Because most Canadians are 'fat & happy' the reality of the world escapes them.

Another issue that does not get discussed is what impact increased Canadian production has on international Islam. Saudi Arabia (but not restricted to them) finances the spread of Islam internationally. It appears to me that a significant portion of that money supports radical and militant Islam.

For me export of Canadian crude overseas has become a national security issue for Canada. Failure to achieve oil export will destroy Canadian self determination and leave the country more vunerable to foreign interests.

Get over yourselves, commie canucks. The U.S. is suffering under Canadian style governing and listen to you whine. Hopefully it's not for the long term, but who knows. How many decades was Canada under the far left boot? Several. If you do team up with the Pacific Rim, you'll need plenty of acreage to house their military. The protection the U. S. provides today is free and just across the border. Grow up.
