Take Me, Obama

Fired Chattanooga Times Free Press editor Drew Johnson - "This person is like this cult ... almost a prophet, almost a religious figure, and if you dare say anything against him, then the media way overreacts."

Pardon me Boys is that the Chattanooga Choom Crew..?..

Now THAT'S funny!!!

The song;

I do hope Mr. Johnson plays it loud and proud.

Johnson was his own worst enemy. It doesn't matter that there was political pressure on the paper to have him fired. He committed the worst and most unprofessional of sins, changing text in a newspaper, notably a headline, in such a fashion than no one could review it. I don't care if the subject was a Girl Scout bake sale. Anyone rewriting a headline deserves immediate firing if no one approves it. Otherwise, some dolt like Johnson is going to land the publication in libel trouble sooner or later.

And he admits he did it. Game over, boy.

Here's your first hint, they gave their progressive poster boy a Nobel prize for being the guy they get to project all their hopes and dreams upon.. So when you show disrespect the Obamanator your actually disrupting their fantasy world..

Dont think of Obama as a person or President but as a blank canvas that people project upon.. A walking talking true political wonder if ever there was one.. Who needs excuses when you have half the population and the MSM fainting in the aisles..

Who knew that waking sleepwalkers makes one a racist..

Agreed. It is fascinating that the conjectures that the closure of the US embassies was a political ploy is now said to be correct: http://www.infowars.com/official-embassy-attack-threat-had-no-basis-in-fact/
And yet it is destructive to the narrative that alQuaids is losing, and destructive to the US image around the world.

That seemingly doesn't matter. The Foulness's approval rating is still at 41%, which means he could probably still win the presidency if he were to run today. It's horrifying.

The whole Saint Barry thing is so creepy it defies reason - like efty has finally taken the final jump from psychotic partisanism to political occultism.

See previous thread for the correct way to pray, and to whom.

Yup. Though I like the timing of the headline and the fact that it made some 'bama bedwetters squirm, Johnson deserved to be fired.

And I hope he's got some job prospects lined up in TV or radio, because he's demonstrated to one and all that he can't be trusted with a newspaper editor's job.

now this is just to funny in here, ya'all agree he should be fired because he changed a head line and we can't have that because????????? hell, if lies are a reason to sue papers into oblivion then there wouldn't be a news paper around. Isn't one of the common "threads" in here about news paper BULLSHIT, to bloody funny. Good folks, some time silence IS golden:-))))

"...ya'all agree he should be fired because he changed a head line and we can't have that because????????? ...

Let me finish that sentence for ya.

...he did something he knew he wasn't supposed to do - in direct defiance of his terms of employment"

Jamie, he claims the "don't change the headline" policy was essentially invented as a pretext to fire him. I realize he's a journalist, so his word isn't worth all that much, but on the other side of him are even more journalists, plus weaselly editors whose words are worth even less.

Bottom line for me is this: the headline is a rip of the country song, and the paper is published in Tennessee. It's funny, it's catching, and yes, it's direct. It's not a firing offense. The newspaper publisher is a coward and should be called out as such.
