Y2Kyoto: I'll Miss The Arctic Ice Cap

'Normally the high Arctic has about 90 days above freezing. This year there was less than half that'

Damn those computer models. Garbage in = garbage out. The IPCC has already down graded global warming to climate change. A safe bet since climate has always changed. They are keeping global cooling in reserve and CO2 as the cause for any of the three. Taxing nothing is something they will hang on to at all cost. As long as the POTUS believes and can't take a hour of his busy vacation and golf schedule to question this :
http://co2insanity.com/2011/12/15/eight-questions-to-kill-the-kyoto-climate-protocol-in-2012/

The windmills will continue to be built and the solar panels will continue to drag down the economy. That's the problem when a dumb POTUS surrounds himself with like minded advisers and "experts" that are actually clueless and know their pay cheques depend on a high level of panic. All good means looking for a new job. The scam of the century continues because there's billions of dollars at stake and it has little to do with the planet. The public is onside because they have been thoroughly brainwashed and brainwashing is so hard to reverse.

jeezus peter, I read your last line first and thought you were referring to the RC church

Yeah damn dem catliks and der church. Deys da problems wid da wurl fer shur.

Sure wish that arctic ice would melt faster so we could count on a few warmer days for the period we call summer. This summer has been wet and cool in these parts with the prevailing wind currents from the North. We really need to hear from the Nutty Twins, Gore and Suzuki, they will have the answers all MADE UP.

The trouble with the skeptic side is their lack of accuracy. The graph in the article, which I look at almost daily, shows the mean daily temp from 80 degrees north to the pole. The freeze line is for fresh water not for sea water. Yes the mean did dip to the 0 Celsius line for one day but then went up. The mean has been running below the long term mean for months now and the sea ice anomaly for the last while has been decreasing(while the southern anomaly has been increasing).
I find it interesting that the Antarctic archipelago, which the warmists have pointed out as being ice free for years, has for the last two years been surrounded by sea ice.

Why isn't Mansbridge up there on an ice breaker like he has in the past reporting on Global Warming.
I guess he doesn't want to make himself out as the fool he is.

I work outside every day. The trees where changing colour 2 weeks ago, half way through July. Expect an early brutal winter again.
In Edmonton we have had in all maybe 1 & a half weeks without rain or lower than average temperatures.

This climate clap trap is nothing but a political / financial propaganda mill.. They sit and wait for the opportune moment to tell their brain dead followers what they wanna hear.. Ohhh unprecedented melting with a shot of normal boring summer melt water.. Please send us money and support our supporters (windmills and solar) so we can continue to bankrupt your government..

Then they will move on to the next tax funded propaganda piece..

Its odd that the west is up to its eyeballs in communist green idiots while Russia the home of Communist idiots is free of them.. Its like they opened the gates and let them all out.. We won the cold war but they won the warm war..

Anyway.. A long cold winter is on its way.. Summer was only able to buy us 2 weeks of hot weather.. The thinking man would chop twice the amount of wood he normally would, to keep his family from freezing to death..

Drill baby drill... and fund those green idiots because the are to important to be wrong..

If we would actually get some global warming in Canada I would gladly pay a carbon tax. It's so annoying to have the IPCC promise us a better future and decades later still fail to deliver on their promises. Free that sequestered .038% trace gas and give us a chance to enjoy a longer summer I say. Our winter heating bills are far too high and our air conditioners are under utilized. All this nonsense about 1 or 2 degrees over a hundred years is taking far too long. Mr. President....LET THAT CARBON GO. Think of the children.

Meanwhile, at least three have died in cold weather in Brazil:

Yes, I have trouble with this too. It isn't enough to grasp every skeptical report without careful analysis. I attempt to look at things I do know - the negligible rise in sea level, which living in a port city I can see for myself; the lack of much in the way of a trend in weather in St. John's (perhaps less wind; the winters seem as vicious as they ever were; we have had some hot weather but not the consecutive days of uncomfortably hot weather we had for several years in the `80s; and so forth). As for news, one notes the disastrously false predictions of warm winters in the UK. A major point is that the global climate models have proved to be WRONG, whether there is a small upward trend in temperature or not.

Wisdom contains a healthy skepticism of the pronouncements of experts.

The trouble with the skeptic side is their lack of accuracy.
----------------------
With no respect at all.. The warmist side is wrong in all of their computer models.. They took a few warm years in the 1980s and ran it up into a huge government subsidised scam..

The skeptics have since the beginning simply stated that AGW (the out of control kind) is simply not happening.. No need to know all the answers (we may never know) to know a smoking pile of political activism when we see it..

15 years plus of flat temperature is long enough to discount the theory of AGW.. Wind and Solar are a complete failure with the present technology.. Smart Meters are for people to dumb to realise that the investment in our power grid in the last 20 years has been in the wrong direction.. Use less and pay way more all dressed up for idiot green media consumption..

It should be called the leftist bad investment meter or the gosh we are sorry meter.. How about the don't worry I will lube it up good meter.. You know there is big trouble in propaganda land when they call it Smart Meter.. Its anything but smart..

Only three clicks to the source where you can add three more days to that total. [summer isn't over, Mr Moreno]

Here you can check each year since 1958
Checking some, it has been a cool summer up there. The "melting" profile is remarkably constant but, given that the water & first year ice [which is most in extent these days] is salty, the actual melting should be extended beyond that "90 day" period. [As is obvious from this graph.] The loss of ice occurs for about twice the 90--day period of average C>0 temperatures.

Yeah well, it was commented on WUWT, that satellite microwave scans can not distinguish open water from melt pools on the ice pack. It is not unusual for these melt pools to be a foot or more deep and extend over vast areas....which swiftly refreeze when the sun gets lower.....

This leaves spectroscopic analysis to distinguish the "white" melt water from the darker green open water....which is limited due to cloud cover.

The result is that these satellite surveys have fairly low credibility/accuracy.

So what's the big deal? According to greenies, ice in the Antartica melts at -30C,so in the Artic they should be ice free at -15C. Oh.And water boils at +25C.
You just can't fix stupid.Well, you can,but that would decrease the world's population by about 95%.

Oh.And where is the "low" Arctic??
