Clown Vs Clowns

Now is the time at SDA when we juxtapose!

1994;

The big white gate flew open. The bull came out bucking. The rider flopped from side to side and the bullfighters held back, letting the bull make his moves until the rider dropped off. Licciardello crouched in a heavily padded barrel, a human target should the bull decide to charge. Hawkins waited near the barrel, holding his big inner tube. A dummy with a George Bush mask stood beside the clown, propped up by a broomstick."

2013:

The fair also said if the association is to ever sponsor a rodeo again, it must first show proof that "all officials and subcontractors ... have successfully participated in sensitivity training."

Only sensitive cowboys need apply.

But everybody knows that George W. Bush was NOT black, and he was not a progressive librul, and he was not a god to be worshiped by black children, therefore a different set of rules apply. As far as the marxist, black libruls go, the word "blasphemy" comes to mind.

Yeah, I just read this stuff about the sensitivity training myself and wonder how many dislocated discs there are over at the Missouri State Fair boardroom. Probably more than the rodeo contestants combined.
Anyone who has attended more than one rodeo in their lives can probably tell you most of the jokes and gags the clowns use. I seem to recall several skits with some politician Halloween mask and haven't seen the hand wringing that is going on now. I'm just surprised that the leftoid world took so long to notice, but in truth most rodeo loving folks are God fearing people who enjoy corny humour and gather for a weekend of fun. Not many "occupy" folks in the bull pens I guess.
It's about time to show Blazing Saddles on the movie channel I guess.

Like those cowboys that kiss their horses and ride their gals into the sunset?

No referenced to spurs nor whips was implied in this retort, however, if your mind is going there...

IMHO, progressives do not understand why many Americans don't worship the President like they do. It baffles them so much that the only reason they can attribute it to is racism.

But it was fine to make movies about George Bush being assassinated.

Reeducation camps? Who says the American republic is dead?

Yeah. This is pretty stupid. But lets juxtipose again, shall we?

I watched a WW II doc the other night about Bomber Command. They had kids as young as 18 in those bomb crews. They had to fly 30 missions to get 6 months off. The life expectancy was 14 missions. Most of these 'boys' are gone now and I am glad they didn't see the descent that has occurred. From a hood with a hand full of skittles to sensitivity training for rodeo clowns.

I weep for what was.

The United States has no Lese Majesty law, but the marxist/libruls think we do, but only if it is used against a conservative. That is why I think they are moving towards blasphemy laws to protect their ideas and politicians. The moslems will all support them.

That controversy wasn't about what they said, but about where they said it. It is a shame that you are apparently falling for the librul conflation of the two. The people and politicians have for a very long time, avoided criticizing the country or its leaders while outside of the country. However, for the last 12 years, the marxist libruls have ignored this courtesy and patriotism, since they are international types anyway, and have little loyalty to The USA outside of the necessities of their politics.

the left is appalled the rodeo clown got some laughs....bwahahahaha

did they not "get" the intent of the movie "V"

Ha! To juxtapose again: Patriotic American regularly criticizes Obama on Canadian blog.

Welcome to Rome, enjoy the decline.

story of "O"

Juxtaposition fail.

The Dixie Chicks alienated the people who bought concert tickets and albums.
The response to them was from below.
People voting with their money.

The rodeo clown alienated the left and has been smacked down by the 'authorities'.

I opposed the Iraq war and not because it was for oil or that Saddam tried to kill W's daddy.
As a staunch fiscal conservative, I found it a huge waste of soldiers and money attempting to bring democracy to a culture that is incapable of it.

Heh, I can imagine the kind of hi-jinks rodeo clowns will get up to now. Extra sensitivity to black bulls, with a scale down to no sensitivity towards white bulls.

This is just ripe for jokes...

Let's just hope the hordes don't start Trayvonizing rodeo clowns.

Repeat with me: Liberals are Racists, Liberals are Racists, Liberals are Racists.

That is the ONLY way to explain the mile-wide difference between one clown mask being perfectly fine and the other clown mask being the end of the world (or at least the end of several careers).

They cannot stand to be mocked......

and one wonders if there were voting irregularities committed by this crowd

Close friend had to take sensitivity training as a company policy before being eligible for hiring. He said it was like something out of the Twilight Zone with the instructor being so far left it even makes John look normal. This pansy instructor had more mental issues that the whole class combined and the only thing the class got out of it was the ability to marvel at the waste of time and money it cost the company. Even one of the supervisors agreed this person with a social science degree ( they guessed in gender studies) and a little rainbow flag on his lapel was one sick puppy. The training was supposed to relate to the Indians working alongside non Indians in the oil patch and it never left the trials and tribulations of being gay in a straight society. The only two Indians walked out at the half way mark (after they pigged out at lunch) and were not seen again. My friend told me that the course did make him sensitive to the need for more nut houses and the degree of political correctness that has watered down what was once a proud and independent society. It sounds like great fun if you can keep a straight face. They even supplied lunch for a 4 hour course. Supporting Gay Pride week was recommended but not mandatory although the company donated each year. Gives the Clowns something to look forward to if they happen to read this. Free lunch and mental illness on display. What's not to like ?

Boycott the fair until everyone on the board has taken clown sensitivity training.

What do you call a sensitive bull?

A steer.

An acquaintance of mine was on exchange duties with the U.S. Air Force and was told he would have to take "sensitivity training"; his reply was, "okay, but since I'm Canadian it has to be in French". And that was some 30 years ago! Things have only got worse south of the 49th.

The left really open themselves to mockery and they are totally oblivious to it. They miss the point that Obama is not being run over by a bull, he is running over the U.S. with bull.

Sensitivity training is important. It teaches you where to poke with a sharp stick!

It's time for good people everywhere to don Obama masks until the thin skins of the Earth explode or grow up.

I think the former will happen.

Sensitivity training? They can honk on bobo! There! Is that sensitive enough?

Again... I don't really care if rodeo clowns wear Obama masks. I agree that it's a bit of a reach. But sorry... the Dixie Chicks freak out was not just people voting with their money. It was people in the position of authority axing the Dixie Chicks from playing on radio stations, gigs, and people generally freaking out because they said something they didn't like. Oh, and then there was all the death threats. So yeah... same thing except way, way waaaaay bigger.

So yeah. Conservatives freak out too. In fact, they specialize in being constantly angry. Why do you think blogs like this exist? or all of the conservative radio hosts? It's because you guys freak out at everything.

John, you ninny, when the music fans turned on the Dixie Chicks, the radio execs pretty much had to follow suit, or start losing money. The fans are the people who buy the product, and if the fans stop buying the product, and the radio station continues to push that product, bankruptcy is the next station stop.

Of course, it's not fair to expect you to understand how a market works.

Now we'll all have to wear Obama masks and dress and act like clowns whenever we want to heckle a leftist rally.

Yeah well, I recall the Dixie Chicks thing....even though I don't follow country music.....

But as a result, I took a likin' to Tobey Keith and his "beer for my horses"....

It was a simple matter of silly lefties not realizing/knowing their market is red meat eating, hetero patriots.....

As big a blunder as sensitivity training for oil field rough-necks.....

foobert nailed it.

Well, if they wanted to end this BS, all the clowns, cowboys and spectators would wear 'bama faces to the next rodeo. Give these PC dickheads all the contempt and derision they deserve.

"I don't really care if rodeo clowns wear Obama masks. I agree that it's a bit of a reach."

John, you nailed the implicit divide between conservatives and progressives. Apparently you have never been to a rodeo. I assume politicians will be mocked and ridiculed; they are no more special than anyone else. Yet at the end of the day, their position of authourity is respected because that's part of peace and good government.

Progressives are still searching for a messiah and hope they have found him in the person of Barack Obama. They have zero respect for the position of president. An example is their lack of curiosity in his qualifications.

Conservatives freak out too. In fact, they specialize in being constantly angry.

Because you and other "progressives" specialize in doing AND saying stupid things that anger us, John.

Exactly, and your out-house detractor obviously hasn't paid much attention to the angry leftist blogs. I guess it is alright for them as they represent the new man.

We Used to Laugh with pity, at Chinese re-Education camps because people where forced to go to them. Is America or Canada laughing now?

OFA Gets Zero Attendance for Climate Change Rally

Now that did make my day. Seems even moonbats have caught onto the fact Global warming is a scam. The public has known for years. Now perhaps in ten years will Politicians.

@John:

"So yeah. Conservatives freak out too. In fact, they specialize in being constantly angry. Why do you think blogs like this exist? or all of the conservative radio hosts? It's because you guys freak out at everything."

For once you're right, though likely unintentionally. "We're" freaking out at everything because most everything from media, education and most anyone on the public payroll is monopolized by "you guys" to everyone's detriment. You've had a good run, but it's gotten way out of hand and it's time for the adults to take over now. The beatings will continue until morale improves.

Time has proven the Dixie Chicks right but in '03 the free world still stung from 9/11 and weapons of mass destruction in Iraq was peddled as fact. Hindsight is always 20/20. Patriotism was at a all time high and we were looking for someone to kick the snot out of. Voices of reason were not welcome at home and Al Qaeda in Iraq was taken as fact rather than fiction. Sadam would have never shared power with any other group. The target should have been the Saudi's but they were and still are untouchable.

W Bush took the high road but the biggest mistake the D Chicks made was apologizing for Bush on behalf of Texas. The State should have never been mentioned and that slip-up cost them dearly. When you piss off Texans you are really playing with fire. Bush was one of their own.

A few years later they were still unapologetic and stuck to their earlier contention that the Iraq war was wrong. The defiance showed in this song:

They should have remembered that they were entertainers and left their personal opinions at home. Today it seems like everyone in Hollywood is engaged in activism. But that was then and this is now. The world has changed. I still like their music.
