“When the president does it, that means that it is not illegal”

Q: And she indicated that Washington had requested these specific parts of these specific applications; is that right?
A: Correct.

Good question: “[W]hy didn’t the IG report include this information?”

  1. Time to subpeona the supervisor and so on and so on till there is no one left to throw under the bus. That should lead the lie sniffing dogs to the door of the Oval office.

  2. Obama:
    “Round up all lower level government employees and fire them !”
    Eric Holder:
    “But Boss,
    we are already down to that blind guy in the lobby selling chocolate bars and warm soda”

  3. I thought the comment from one Heatseeker might sum up how this IRS scandal might unravel this administration, in what, at least two departments now.
    ‘”He who is weak of mind should not attempt lying”–Michel de Montaign.
    Obama is not remotely smart enough to be able to lie his way out of these scandals.
    This mess is about to come apart like a North Korean Rolex.
    How will this play out? This way:
    1) Finger pointing;
    2) Leaks;
    3) Senior people (including Holder) being thrown under the bus;
    4) Revelations of further criminal wrongdoing as people roll on their bosses; and
    5) Repeat #1 through #4.
    I’m going to mix a nice drink, sit back, and enjoy watching this pathetic, repulsive Administration come unglued. While wiping the tears of laughter off my chin.
    I love the smell of schadenfreude in the morning.’
    There was also a comment by one poster, Justin Green, who had a great definition of the terms racist and bigot.
    “Racist n. 1. Any person who disagrees with a liberal. See bigot.
    Bigot n. 1. Any person who disagrees with a liberal. 2. Anyone who makes use of points of law, logic, economics, or facts in an argument. See Racist.”

  4. This bit in the testimony is interesting.
    “…we didn’t do anything wrong. We followed directions based on other people telling us what to do.”
    It didn’t work at Nuremberg and likely it won’t work here. The critical difference is that the superiors are trying to throw the underlings under the bus and get away scot-free themselves. In the case of Nuremberg, it was the seniors that were the first ones frogmarched up the gallows.

  5. The “report” and “investigation” by the IG is often misinterpreted as a thorough investigation when it was only an audit by the IG. Reports of misconduct spurred the IG into looking at the allegations of targeting and this is what the report reflects. Hence, the audit substantiated enough BS to start an investigation which, then, should report on all the missing bits and parts from the audit… I hope. This is only the beginning.

  6. Hopefully it turns out to be the case here. If this were to happen the Democrats would be out of power for a generation.

  7. Apparently the IRS head cheese met with Obama’s campaign manager during the election. I’m sure they were just discussing easter eggs and things like that.

  8. Actually that IRS official visited the WH several hundred times….his predecessor to Bush…once.
    These IRS folk must be nervous as long tailed cats in a room full of rocking chairs….Breitbart………

  9. You misunderstand the significance here. It was revealed today White House logs show that Stephanie Cutter met with the head of the IRS during the election. Proof that this was driven by the Obama campaign machine. That’s damning. Right out of the political campaign.
