Voodoo farmer

Instead, if it doesn't violate the Constitution, can I suggest a nationwide education program on how a cow magically transforms itself into a delicious hamburger?

I've always loved Monte Solberg since his days as a blogging MP. Witty with a lot of common sense. Met him face to face once and gushed all over like a teenage girl about how great his blogs were.

I think a nation-wide education program on how government supply management of food commodities has us not paying the true cost of our food by fattening up supply managers and the corporate food producers and processors. If bread was sold at true market value and the independent farmer received 100% of the real market price, we would have rich farmers and happy consumers paying 68 cents a loaf less - same for pork, dairy, eggs, poultry, honey etc. Perhaps if consumers knew that supply management of food is a soviet concept open to corruption, greed, insider profiteering and supplier extortion, they may realize there is no need to pay the ridiculous prices Canadians pay for food in the midst of over abundant productive capacity.

Along with Russians and the Scandi's, Canadians should be embracing Global Warming.

How many Canadians sit on the deck at the cottage and think "Damn, I wish there were three feet of snow in the driveway."

Currently there is a growing ignorance of rural life, agriculture reality and science and the scientific method. The leaves many vulnerable to a mass hysteria propagated by the truly stupid.

I'd love to see reading, writing and arithmetic taught in schools for a change. Its much harder to hoodwink and bamboozle people who understand compounding interest and percentages.

If they know which end of the cow the milk comes from, added bonus.

He, heeee, heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Judging by all the over-the-border grocery shopping taking place, I'd say that a hell of a lot of Canadians have figured out...wait for the quote now... "that supply management of food is a soviet concept open to corruption, greed, insider profiteering and supplier extortion"

Hey.Where's phil? He/she/it is the farming expert. And since when did the farm board mafia in Queerbec start being called soviet?

It isn't constitutional, but we could pay for it by eliminating the large subsidies farmers get.

Solberg was a crap MP.

Nah.Leftards are Stupid ain't phil.

MONTE SOLBERG is dead on. I couldn't have said it better. Matter of fact, I couldn't have said it anywhere near that well.

LAS disapproves, Solberg must have been doing something right.

Like funnelling pork spending into his riding. Conservatives continue to be hypocrites dog bites man.
