Stevens’ mission in Benghazi, they will say, was to buy back Stinger missiles from al-Qaeda groups issued to them by the State Department, not by the CIA. Such a mission would usually be a CIA effort, but the intelligence agency had opposed the idea because of the high risk involved in arming “insurgents” with powerful weapons that endanger civilian aircraft.
Hillary Clinton still wanted to proceed because, in part, as one of the diplomats said, she wanted “to overthrow Gaddafi on the cheap.”
This left Stevens in the position of having to clean up the scandalous enterprise when it became clear that the “insurgents” actually were al-Qaeda – indeed, in the view of one of the diplomats, the same group that attacked the consulate and ended up killing Stevens.
The former diplomat who spoke with PJ Media regarded the whole enterprise as totally amateurish and likened it to the Mike Nichols film Charlie Wilson’s War about a clueless congressman who supplies Stingers to the Afghan guerrillas. “It’s as if Hillary and the others just watched that movie and said ‘Hey, let’s do that!'” the diplomat said.
He added that he and his colleagues think the leaking of General David Petraeus’ affair with his biographer Paula Broadwell was timed to silence the former CIA chief on these matters.

Thanks for posting this. I have been following developments here for some time and saw the original Canada Free Press article along the same lines. I find it astonishing that the US press is not covering much of this — no, I guess I don’t. I believe there is treasonous activity at the highest levels in the US and if Obama et. al. are not got rid of soon, the US (as we have known it) is done for. Sounds apocalyptic, I know, but corruption such as this is unprecedented.
No wonder the members of Team Zero are desperately trying to get the “current” talking points to all.

I don’t think any of this will kickstart the bravery necessary for Americans to impeach the first black president…I think he’s pretty much got a free pass, no matter what the scandal. Americans will hunker down for the next 3.5 years and put up with it. And that’s about it.
And then possibly the first female president. And Americans will continue to hunker down….you don’t dare impeach the first female pres either. It wouldn’t look good in the history books, now would it.

Soccermom: This is about treason, murder and cover-up. If true, there will be consequences. You can’t have someone like this running your country and expect to emerge unscathed. Whether or not Obama gets impeached is an open question. The cowards in Washington may well try to “hunker down” as you say — but the evil committed and surrounding deception is great and it is the residual evil if not confronted that will lead to serious consequences for the US.

puddin n pie, that’s a very astute observation. That really fits into the puzzle nicely. “Hey guys, you know the Stinger missiles that we sold to A.Q. that the Ambassador was trying to buy back? I guess A.Q. didn’t like the deal we offered so they decided they would kill some Americans instead. And remember how they now have those Stinger missiles? Maybe we shouldn’t send any helicopters or jets or anything that flies around that area. You know, because it’s really hard to cover up a helicopter or a jet being shot down with a Stinger missile. How do we explain that?”

One of the most appalling things is the way that corrupt trio (Obama, Hilary and Biden) had the nerve to show up at the ceremony returning the coffins of the dead Americans. So Hilary says something stupid to the parents like “We’re going to make sure that guy is punished” — meaning the video guy. Bush was not so great, but these guys are cynical poseurs. I think they rank right up there with Stalin. But the media who should be investigating this and reporting — instead it’s “Oh look, a butterfly, “. This is really sickening for anyone who has valued the United States and it’s role in protecting Western democracies.

Stevens et al should have known they were expendable the moment they sa the state dept. using diplomatic personnel for essentially a spook operation. They just had to know they would be scapegoated if they failed or left hung out to dry if the media got a whiff of this black op.
This is what happens when craven opportunist politicians try to run covert military actions. Never ever trust a politician and never ever work for a Klinton on a dirty detail.
