  1. The Long March:

“Fascists,” “bums,” and “killing machines.” That’s how conservatives and Republicans were described at the initial meeting of a new organization of faculty members in North Carolina. The group, named “Scholars for a Progressive North Carolina,” was formed in response to what organizers described as “the destructive course pursued by the state legislature.”
The group’s members are primarily faculty from the state’s public and private colleges and universities…

    Here they come:

In one instance, UNC-Greensboro history professor Lisa Levenstein described Republicans as “ideology-driven” whereas liberals are “not driven by ideology” but are instead motivated by “the common good.”

  2. Late-season freeze sets Baltic ice record

Ice breakers navigating the Gulf of Bothnia have been astounded at the record spread of ice on the Baltic Sea, while scientists say they have never seen anything like it.

“Since record keeping began in the sixties, we’ve never encountered anything like this before,” ice breaker Ulf Gulldne told the local newspaper Örnsköldsviks Allehanda.

  3. Continuing the theme of bitch slap a progressive near you, author Larry Correia demonstrates how it is done.

  4. It is always helpful to remember that these leftist tools ALWAYS accuse their enemies of the very things they KNOW themselves to be guilty of.

  5. Re: 1938 Boston Marathon!
And here I always thought that the Germans had invented the 23 mile marathon on June 06-1944 (D-Day) when they saw the Canadians land on Juno Beach!!

  6. northernont, that’s a great post. I’m bookmarking it for the next time I feel the need to ruin some idiot’s day by explaining to them that the National Socialists were socialists.

  7. 150000 people died today ,same as most days
can someone hand the MSM a great big cup of shut the f..k up about their one story

  8. The “common good” is an ideology too. And a false one: only individuals have a conception of the good, although certain values would probably be common to most people. Like freedom, which is something today’s liberals do not believe in.

  9. Conservatives use Boston terror attacks to launch assault on civil liberties and due process.
Bill S-7 goes to the House of Commons for third reading on Thursday. It is controversial because it would also allow a judge to compel testimony from those believed to have knowledge of imminent terrorist threats. Failure to cooperate could be grounds for arrest.
In addition, under the bill, if police believed a terrorist crime was about to be committed, but lacked the evidence to lay charges, they could still make an arrest. A judge could then release the suspect but impose conditions on his or her behavior.

“Ira Einhorn, Earth Day’s Dirty Secret”
“On this, the 36th anniversary of Earth Day, it is only fitting to speak of one of its founders, Ira Einhorn.
You won’t find Ira Einhorn’s name listed in any of the Earth Day promotional literature, as the organizers have taken great pains to distance themselves from this man, at least since he became better known for composting his girlfriend in a trunk in his closet for a couple of years in the late 1970s.
Earth Day organizers and publicists don’t want to have anything to do with Ira these days.”

  11. That is the type of stupid legislation that the CINO’s need to stop passing. It would be far simpler to prevent members of TROP to come to Canada in the first place. Also, the “terrorism” definition means that anyone who fought against a totalitarian state before coming to this country would be a “terrorist”. I have relatives who fought in the Hungarian revolution of 1958. Back then they were welcomed to Canada as victims of totalitarian oppression; now they’d be considered terrorists. Whatever happened to guilty until proven innocent? I learned bomb making and firearms handling as a child although the molotov cocktail thrown into an open tank turret probably doesn’t work any more with modern armor. IMO, everyone should know tactics of unconventional warfare as this makes a foreign invasion even less likely. Going to a terrorist camp doesn’t mean that someone is going to commit terrorist acts. Also, the definition of “terrorism” is changing by the minute with likely soon a “terrorist” act being anything which a member of the statist government doesn’t like.
The RCMP being for it is reason enough to be totally against it.
