One Step Closer to America No More

The Associated Press (AP), the largest news gathering organization in the world, announced earlier this week that they would no longer allow the use of the term “Illegal Immigrant” in any of their stories. Some people are ecstatic. Jay Leno has a suggestion on a replacement term for the AP.
In a Canadian context, perhaps Justin Trudeau and Thomas Mulcair will now engage in a frenzied race to see who can first add to their respective party’s platform that Canada should be renamed “Turtle Island”?!

  1. Jay Leno: AP no longer to use ‘Illegal Immigrant’. Now they’ll be known as ‘Undocumented Democrat’

  2. Well they can polish that turd all they want, but I call ’em as I see ’em and I am willing to call a spade a spade too.
I tend to stick to the conservative bloggers for my news. If I want to know what the stupid people think there is always the Glob and Snail or the Tranna Star…

  3. Seems to me that if people are in the country illegally they are not immigrants of any kind. They are illegal aliens.

  4. “Turtle Island?”
Sounds like another crock of what?
Sounds like another of those convenient to prove racial superiority of ethnic groups failing in the real world.
Remember the story that “Eskimo” is an Algonquin term meaning raw meat eaters and was used as a term to insult Eskimos. One – Eskimos are raw meat eaters just as I am a Cheeto eater. Two – no-one with a knowledge of Algonquin or any other native language has the slightest clue what this is about.

  5. yeah well it’s sorta like vikings wore horned hats….or came to North America in long ships with shields above the row locks.
    Fanatasies from the Victorian era..
    Fanatasies….fanatics’ fantasies…myths accepted by LIVs……

  6. As usual, lots of distortion coming from the left. No one ever suggested that the illegal immigrants are “illegal humans” (as in the “No One is Illegal” foolish mantra). What is communicated is that these are people who have immigrated to the US illegally. “Illegal Immigrants” is an accurate way to describe that. There is a false parallel being drawn between this and how people with disabilities are sometimes described. Referencing a “disabled person” rather than calling someone a “person with a disability” does change the emphasis somewhat. In this case the “personhood” of the illegal is not being called into question. “Illegal Immigrants” simply explains their status in the US. This is another misguided campaign that will surely just quadruple the number of illegal immigrants to the US.
Someone notes that Leno appears to have resigned almost immediately after his good joke. This is all so sad for the US. They have lost their freedoms and many probably do not realize it yet.

  7. I left a juicy tidbit of a comment at the hysterical feminist website. What do you suppose, they’ll let it slip past the feminazi censors?

  8. anybody remember back when there were
“terrorists” in the news cycle instead of…
    “unlawful enemy combatants”?
    thank you, president o’unicorn.
