Now is the time at SDA when we juxtapose!
January 22nd, 2009 – Promising to return America to the “moral high ground” in the war on terrorism, President Obama issued three executive orders Thursday to demonstrate a clean break from the Bush administration, including one requiring that the Guantanamo Bay detention facility be closed within a year.
March 22nd, 2013 – The Pentagon is considering a $150-million project to improve the detention-center facilities at Guantanamo Bay. NBC News reports the project would include a new dining hall and barracks for the troops, hospital and medical units for detainees, a legal meeting complex, and a data storage facility.

“…a new dining hall and barracks for the troops, hospital and medical units for detainees, a legal meeting complex, and a data storage facility.”
They can’t get that done for less than $150 million? Are you kidding me? They could build a five star hotel and casino cheaper than that. Must be government.
Leaving aside the fact that Barry is going to close Guantanamo. For sure. No really, he is. Honest.
Hey, would we lie to you?
Well, to be fair, Phantom, wiring the barracks for sound, so they can play Yoko Ono records 24/7 to the inmates, runs into a lot of money.
No Kidding, and Gitmo is still open, plus we are drone bombing Iraq, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Libya, Yemen, Somalia, N. Africa and soon Syria and Lebanon, and all we hear from the left, the media, trolls, liberals and Obabots is ‘crickets.’
On another note, my nephew got smacked by the Sequester, works for the Corp. of Engineers and got furloughed one day a week till September. I tried to cheer the boy up and emailed him with the subject line; ” I didn’t vote for the sob.” ;- )

That was the eeeeevile Bush regime, Gord. These days the Obama regime plays the Yoko Ono records to the troops.
With all these improvements perhaps we should send Omar the Murderer back. Better digs than the place he’s in now and of course he’s much more appreciated in Gitmo.
gordinkneehill ~ Great one! “so they can play Yoko Ono records 24/7 to the inmates” …Thanks.
If he cannot release them, at least he can make those for whom he feels sympathy more comfortable.
She’ll be designing new uniforms before The One’s term is done.
Guantanamo Bay and the drones war are the most shameful aspect of Obama presidency.
