America’s top military officer in charge of monitoring hostile actions by North Korea, escalating tensions between China and Japan, and a spike in computer attacks traced to China provides an unexpected answer when asked what is the biggest long-term security threat in the Pacific region…

didn’t read the linky, butt know this idiot thinks Gorebull warming is the greats security threat:-))))
Pantywaist political suck holing won’t win Admiral “Locklips” any historical accolades.
Your job as a military officer is to put the ‘hurt on’ the opposing forces; not engage in political wind-bagging.
Yep, the climate change you are about to experience includes a mushroom cloud, radiation fallout, and thermal temperatures in the neighborhood of a 100 million degrees courtesy of the North Koreans who have made it their policy to turn Washington into a “sea of fire”.

Yes, I agree the climate in Washington, DC would change considerably under these circumstances.
Have a nice day…
Cheers

I am afraid that “engulfing Washington in a sea of fire” is the best thing that could happen to it.
Yee Gods! The senior US commanders are a strikingly useless lot. What ever happened to fragging (fraGGing, not fraKKing) ?
Via SDA. See EBD’s post, yesterday!

I recall a swabby making this remark.
You are in Pearl Harbour, and two sailors are walking abreast down a side-walk….they are not in step…what is their rank?
Is this the same Navy that survived Pearl Harbor and fought the better equipped and led Imperial Japanese Navy on sheer guts until help could arrive? It sure doesn’t sound like it.
Over a decade ago, my daughter thought she might be interested, and attended Annapolis on a visit. When we went to pick her up, I remember hearing a comment I will never forget – relative to affirmative action. “They deserve their own officers.”
I knew we were doomed, and I was glad my daughter chose a different path.
I was just an enlisted Marine, but we were all green. I guess Jimmy Carter should have been warning enough. There’s something about the Navy.
One cannot underestimate the serious problems caused by a military with political appointees. The problems caused by these fools are wide ranging, from stupid weapon procurement, bad logistics, to dumb deployments.
Unfortunately, the many who will die are not the employment equity hires. Such has it always been.
This is a serious problem. The enemies who hate America are watching. They will attack when they think they can win.
Ok sasquatch, I give, what rank?
