Too hot, too cold, hurricanes, tornadoes, monsoons, forest fires and all aspects of what we used to call weather. The UN has too much invested in this scam and still has enough suckers on the hook to keep this farce crawling along. The ability to tax nothing will not be given up without a fight nor will the Suzuki's, Man's and Gore's leave the spotlight of adoration they have grown used to. It took years to brainwash the gullible public with the help of the MSM and it will take years to kill this scam.

The world is gradually warming from the coldest period in the last 10,000 years which occurred only 300 years ago. It's part of the natural climate cycle, and human activity is not causing it, but rather making a minor contribution which is likely delaying the next ice age. Humans ARE causing deforestation, habitat destruction, species extinction, toxic pollution, and a whole host of other problems which are being conveniently downplayed by the CAGW hysteria. Who benefits most from AGW? Toxic polluters that's who; I'd guess they're a major source of funds for the whole CAGW movement. Follow the money.

Aside from that really bad attempt at humour, please note the following statement from the article:

"Bitter cold has even frozen the sea in Laizhou Bay on the coast of Shandong province in the east, stranding nearly 1,000 ships, the China Daily newspaper reported."

Now, this is a remarkable statement, IMO: Laizhou Bay, according to my back-of-the-envelope calculations, has a surface area of about 5,000 square kilometres, more or less.

So, either the statement as written is wrong, conveying the incorrect impression that 1,000 ships are stuck in the ice in Laizhou Bay proper, as opposed to Chinese coastal waters generally, which is actually inferred by the sub-headline, or there's a honkin' big boat load of nautical traffic around China. If the statement is correct, that would suggest that there's one ship frozen in the ice, on average, for each 5 square km area (2 square miles) of Laizhou Bay, which is a miniscule portion of total Chinese coastal waters, and which I'm guessing is not nearly 100% navigable. I mean, how does one navigate in that environment, even when it's warm enough to do so?

The post is eye-opening as both a data point on the AGW issue, but also what it says about China's demonstrable interest in maritime matters -- and what all that means for the future.

Being China, it must be what Chavez dubbed, Capitalist Climate Disruption. Could be hot, could be cold, it doesn't matter, Capitalism must be stopped.

Kate, Kate, Kate - we all know that cold trends are "local wheather" and warm weather is "global warming crisis". However, with the recent shift of the warmistas to "climate change" it can be argued that all severe wheather occurances are the result of the west holding the wrong politics and needing more taxes confiscated to enrich global socialism.

We know authoritarian statism never advances on its own cash so the new severe wheather (climate change) tax initiatives are just what Dr. Gore ordered to propel global fascism with public funds.
