Those Moderate Muslims!

I saw that movie when I was a kid, but can't remember what it's called. And who is the actor?

Evil Roy Slade.

As a rider I must state that this is palin stupid. It seems like a increase in pillion road kill is going to be an immediate result. Just look at that picture....make me cringe thinking what would happen to that woman should the driver have to swerve as a result of a stray goat.

and then again, it wasn't that long ago when straddling a bike was considered "un-lady-like here.

If God had known how much of a problem Muslims were going to have with the sex organs and their placement, I'm sure He could have come up with a better plan.
My suggestion is rubbing noses. Didn't it work for the Innuit?
And it would explain female modesty requires covering their most suggestive organ, plus would allow women the freedom to ride pillion on motorcycles and horses.

Remember back in the old days in civilized England when women had to ride sidesaddle and not display an ankle. Wasn't it for the same reason?
Amazing how many parts of the body turn men on and cause them to act like animals. Give the Muzzies a few more generations and they'll learn how to control their sexual urges just like the Brits.

"...learn how to control their sexual urges just like the Brits. "
What sexual urges? They lost their balls a decade ago.

Hahaha. Evil Roy Slade with John Astin (the original Gomez Adams). Father of Sean Astin of Goonies and Lord of the Rings fame. Also, is (or was) married to Patty Duke Astin.

But I digress. Passengers riding side saddle is pretty common in places like that. India is a good example (albeit not generally Muslim). Much of the time the women can be seen holding small children on their laps as well. Nobody ever wears a helmet either. Good way to get killed.

I think Toronto should be the first to skip up to the plate, show its sensitivity, proactivity and commitment to diversity, by being the first region in the Western World to enact similar legislation.

I mean, surely a population that stood idly by and allowed prayers in a secular public school would be 100% supportive.

History has shown many wars have been started because someone could not keep their legs crossed. Look at this from the Sharia Imam's point of view. Hot humid climate. About 238 million people and 85% Muslim. High poverty and poor hygiene. They know full well that the next war could well hinge on the tinderbox argument that starts with: "Them's panties....no way,... them's flies." Sharia law is based on that type of logic so we should presume it has a lot of thought behind it. Just trying to keep the peace is all.

"One commenter wrote that none of the religion's important texts have anything to say about how motorbikes are ridden"
I agree. As far as I know, there were no motorbikes around in Mohammed's time.

As to Evil Roy Slade....do you remember when he created open-toed shoes for the fussy client in the shoe store?

I guess saddle horns are out then too.

I'm sure the Holy Texts might have something to say about riding on a Hawg. Simple extrapolation would cover other brands.

There was a motorcycle taxi service that operated in London (U.K.) with some success. They carried passengers sidesaddle on the pillion seat, but they used a fairly big bike (Honda PC800 if I recall correctly) with specially placed footpegs, but I don't suppose the Indonesian sharia m/bike regulations are actually much concerned with how to accommodate passengers.

Actually, why would a woman be outside of the house anyhow?

Texas

"Actually, why would a woman be outside of the house anyhow"

To wash the pickup truck???

"Nobody wears a helmet either"

That's not true, the dad is usually wearing the helmet in India. The rest don't count.

Seen it a thousand times.

They probably know that if you get into a collision with a car you will be so mangled that life's not worth living anyway. At least they don't look so stupid when they're pedaling a bicycle as we do, proudly announcing "weenies are we".
