In 1971 Geddy Lee, lead singer for the recently-formed Canadian rock band Rush, tripped over a cat and struck his head on the corner of a coffee table. When he regained consciousness an hour later, he couldn't remember his own name nor recognize his bandmates.

Three days later, he vanished without a trace. A private detective hired by Lee's concerned bandmates found him six months later in France, where he had achieved improbable fame as a pop star named Lally Stot. Here he is on a French television show, still visibly suffering from the effects of his head injury, performing Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep.

Okay, okay, I made that whole thing up.

I don’t know what their sniveling about, after University they’ll be collectively sharing their new found employment wealth with the Third World!

"District of Columbia Attorney General Irvin Nathan issued a lengthy letter today explaining the decision not to prosecute David Gregory “despite the clarity of the violation of this important law,” despite rejecting NBC’s claims of a subjective misunderstanding of the law, and despite vowing vigorous enforcement of gun laws."

"On September 8, 2012, Brinkley reportedly dropped his wife and young children off at the White House for a tour. He had planned to head to a nearby shooting range to prepare for the US Marshals Service test. Like David Gregory, Brinkley called the police department in advance for instructions on how to safely transport his weapon and ammunition to the range.

Unlike Gregory, Brinkley followed the department’s instructions to the letter. He was, nevertheless, arrested on the spot after an officer spotted his empty holster and found the weapon in the locked trunk (unloaded and locked in a padlocked box, alongside two ordinary, 15-round magazines.)

Brinkley was arrested and charged with two counts of high capacity magazine possession and one count of possessing an unregistered gun."

"Okay, okay, I made that whole thing up."

Yea, no kidding.

I think everyone knows the French National Anthem in English by now.

I got an "interesting" bout of HDS (Harper Derangement Syndrome) today in the form of a comment from a Leftard over this video from Rex Murphy. Here's what the "genius" wrote:

--TheLivingunderground--

the question isn't about "hatred" but about how messed up our country is since Harper got his majority, thanks to Alberta. Harper did nothing good. He deserves to go to jail. I don't mind with conservatives peoples, I mind when there's a twisted christians that wins the power and only goes the way he sees and roll by the bible. Don't get me wrong, my family is christians, I have nothing against them. But the facts are that Harper screwed everything up. You cannot deny it.

Not sure it's worth an entirely new post but as a follow-up to my earlier post about Ben Shapiro battling Piers Morgan, here's an interview for the former had with Dennis Miller.

For the record, I absolutely believe that Shapiro's analysis & prescription is SPOT ON. His summation of what happened to Mitt Romney in the recent election is correct. Taken to the extreme, just look what happened in the "debate" between Biden & Ryan. On the facts, Ryan would have won hands down. So Biden very deliberately put on that bizarre performance. Biden didn't win per say, but Ryan certainly lost ... if opportunity cost counts for anything.

Nice...Miller comes to the same conclusion I did...Brietbart's kids are fierce.

Having mentioned the good, some would even say, "he's quite good", bassist from Rush whom I've only seen a few times in my days, I felt the need to come to the defense of this fine canadian / it's only about a minute:

Robert W, I'm still having people send me Facebook commentary of how PM Stephen Harper is ruining this country. I'd ask when it'll stop but BDS hasn't let up for a significant percentage in the USA either, so..

Ben Shapiro's new book looks to leave its mark. Good stuff. He could have mentioned Andrew Breitbart's exclamation, "WAR"

Brinkley should have had the foresight to marry the AG's BFF.

Nomenklatura, baby.

Robert, I am not sure what to say to your relating the comment you received from your lefty acquaintance, but it does fit in with what Ben Shapiro said. I think as the left smells victory in their effort to turn the US and Canada into copies of Venezuela they are coming out into the open more frequently and escalating their demonizing of anyone on the right. We have seen this demonizing escalation many times during the 20th century in Europe.

It is more open in our universities, in the Occupy movement and now in the Idle No more movement and in the vitriol the New Democrats and even some of the Liberals in Canada spew at conservatives, especially social conservatives. The same thing is happening in the US. Twenty years ago some thug like Piers Morgan would not have got away with calling a guest "stupid" and an "idiot".

I am afraid that between the left, radical Islamists and radical natives there is a rough ride coming.

(I'm sorry that comment went through - I thought it hadn't - because as soon as I hit "Submit" I realized that it was linked in the original comment. Note to self: read comments before responding.)

This isn't very nice, but it seems that the only good thing about Lally Stott is that he died in 1977, which means the world has been spared more Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep-type abominations.

I found it beyond hilarious when deep-seated Leftists twist themselves in knots to avoid their hypocrisy. Watch two female "journalists" do so here.

Robert, 'The Living Underground' moniker says it all. He needs oxygen. Fast.
