About Kate
Why this blog?
Until this moment
I have been forced
to listen while media
and politicians alike
have told me
"what Canadians think".
In all that time they
never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio - "You don't speak for me."

This would not be a problem if California would just start taxing the rich.
(Yes, that's lame satire. Unfortunately, it's also verbatim something I was listening to a person who's definitely old and credentialed and probably even smart enough to know better sound off on a few days ago.)
With all the influx of Kalifornians here into my great state of Texas, it is a small wonder their tax roles are diminishing.
Formerly known as Texas...
Well then, I guess they will just have to raise the taxes even more.
With all the influx of Kalifornians here into my great state of Texas,...
When I moved out here to Central Texas in '05 (permanently) the out-of-state plates were mostly 'Kalifornia' as I recall? Now along with 'Kalifornia', a lot of New Mexico, Oklahoma, Illinois, even some (gasp!) New York license plates. I'm not too worried about the Okie's, but yup, my adopted 'Great State of Texas' may soon be screwed by the influx of those from alleged progressive utopias they now flee?
.
The same people who helped sink Cali and the other blue utopias will eventually elect the same sort of twats in Texas that they left behind.
This exactly what happened in Alberta.
Meanwhile, Barry is working on getting the rest of the USA to catch up with California, and the Soviet Union , and Greece, and France, and....

BINGO. All Texans.Be extremely wary of these rats fleeing the sinking ship. You just can't take the commie/socialist mental disease out of these people. You could try something like special car plate that identifies them as lefties,or house signs
Or a 30-30.But thats a different thread
Indeed....Texans better beware of the leftist/socialist hoard. It won't be long before they attempt the same S&D method they've accomplished in the Democratic People's Republic of Ontario.
Sorry...that should have been T&D....Tax and Destroy.
California: Quebec without poutine
Quebec: California, but even dumber...wishing for the rift
Two words:
Laffer Curve
And it is not well understood that the theory behind the laffer curve allies to govt regulation: too much or too little regulation actually reduces economic growth and govt revenues. And CA and for that matter all of NA and Europe are far above the optimal level of regulation.
No State has worked harder to drive out all business than California. Between the incompetent leadership, the left leaning wingnuts and the EPA , they have done a stellar job in committing economic suicide. Just going through the EPA manual is enough entertainment to frighten away any potential business. A good first step would be to cut the EPA budget by 90%.

Just for example, if you wanted to open a COSTCO store and saw this as a preview, would you want to face this ? :

Ignorant residents of California, please allow me to introduce you to the renowned Arthur Laffer....
Wohh precisely what I was searching for, thankyou for putting up. "If it's meant to be it's up to me." by Terri Gulick.
I really liked browsing the posts in your weblog. I actually bookmarked it and will come back to read extra. With thanks.
