Jack Layton may have succumbed to AIDS-related cancer, but the agent of his passing is of no huge concern. That chapter is over with. As my father used to say, it's "the living" which are more dangerous, and now we have O-live-ia here to confirm that. No matter what her ambition, it will be detrimental in its effect. For Ms. Chow's sake, I hope the paralysis does go away. I know someone who had Ramsey Hunt Syndrome who was told it could take up to 10 months for the paralysis to go away or it might be permanent. Lucky for my friend, it more or less disappeared after a few weeks, leaving her, however, with permanent vertigo because of inner ear damage due to shingles.

Fortunately, if the dizziness happens, Ms. Chow is no stranger to that condition.
