This is a stunningly obvious observation and yet one that had never occurred to me. I know a fair number of these type, usually perpetual students, and I’d always assumed they simply valued themselves differently – that they placed a higher value on their own (non-)accomplishments like social justice activism or whatever ballyhoo than real productive jobs.
In hindsight, wallowing in their own ideology to the point of self-destruction because deep down they don’t value themselves at all explains their behaviour much better.

I’ve pointed out before that the recruiters of the left … unions … socialist, commies and activists all use the same techniques. Just like cults (scientology) they spot the likely victims and encourage them to join feel good events. That’s where the get marked for some special attention. It all goes to hell from there……..
But was it really “Rape” “Rape”?
This probably best illustrates the leftist mindset and I view it as severely deranged reality testing. When I first read Korzybski’s statement “the map is not the territory”, it seemed so trite to me that I wondered why anyone would ever write anything so obvious. That was before I had any significant exposure to moonbats. They assume that the world they live in corresponds completely with the map of reality that they’ve been given by their equally deluded teachers and, when they get metaphorically lost, they utilize other peoples reasoning to explain the situation rather than what they’ve directly experienced.
We don’t have to look far to see similar example of this phenomenon in Canada; for example a young native Indian criminal who wasn’t even born when all residential schools had been closed can blame the “residential school trauma” for his criminality and the judge orders him to undergo a native “sentencing circle” where, if he’s been really bad, he might get sentenced to 15 minutes of solitary drumming in a corner. If a white male committed the same crime, he’d likely be put in jail.
A lunatic shoots children in a state-mandated “gun free zone” and the response of the moonbats is to ban guns. In their reality it is the gun which made the lunatic carry out his act as they don’t believe in evil. For them everyone is a “victim” of some sort or an “oppressor”. “Victims” can’t help what they do.
The only people who believe this kind of BS are completely dependent on others, have no ambition and terrified of reality. I’m not even sure if they consider themselves as individuals and they obviously can’t comprehend the idea of individual initiative and accomplishment. They are the darlings of the nanny state.
Those of use who feel that the appropriate response of the women in this situation would have been to put 5 shots in the guys groin then, some minutes to hours later, another bullet in his head can’t exist in the leftist virtual reality. A large number of the particularly deluded moonbats will deny the existence of an object reality to which the most obvious counter is a punch to their head. As indicated by the writings of the moonbat that prompted the post by the Captain, even this would probably prove inadequate in an indivual who’s been totally brainwashed.
The one positive aspect of this seemingly dismal situation is that when the economic crash finally comes, those who haven’t learned how to deal with an external reality will die off in droves. The people who will survive such a chaotic situation are the ones who can think for themselves, are able to distinguish the underlying objective reality from their brains self-created virtual reality and have learned usefull skills during their lifetimes instead of being subject to Marxist and post-modernist indoctrination.

It’s not really rape “rape” when a black man rapes a white woman. It’s the fault of a white slave auctioneer 200 years ago.
I once knew a lovely New Zealand woman of about 30 years of age. She had a mature practicality that I envied. Among the many things she spoke of was her rape by a Maori activist when she had been much younger.
She wasn’t an activist but a careless kid in Auckland. She had been drawn to the center of action and the coolness and so hung around the Maori fellow’s hothouse of passionate and righteous activism. The fellow later became a national and international star on the aboriginal injustice circuit. Anyway, young as she was she picked up on the fact that this big and violent man was thrusting himself into her because he could take her with impunity and not for political reasons. He liked to orgasm while he brutalized a weaker creature. She understood (as most would) that he was a thug and criminal, whatever the Eldridge Cleaver logic he later spewed upon her.
Earlier today I unfriended a personal friend on Facebook. I have only about 9 friends and all are blood kin. I keep up with the family. I live in Portland and he is black (mother from Sierra Leone, I think). He’s a very funny and able man whom I ran into by chance after a long time of not having seen him. He asked to connect via Facebook.
He’s hard left and it turns out that almost all of his remarks were political. I responded to his glee at how Hillary had handled her Republican interrogators. I pointed out the harm done by her dodging questioning for so long and the arrogant and somewhat irrational nature of her responses. Moreover, I asked that he consider the damage done to constitutional rights when that “film maker” got slung in jail on the administration’s word.
He and his friends directly responded with attacks on my sexism and racism. One fellow dragged in the recent school house slaughter and somehow connected it to me and my mindset. Then the ad hominem attacks got real ugly. No one responded to my concerns over America’s Middle-east/North Africa policy. No one spoke to my concern over the opacity of the whole damn thing. All responses alternated between ugly snark and ugly hate.
Was it indeed? I wouldn’t be surprised if all that happened was that some spoiled suburban trollop finally got what she thought she wanted from a Haitian “brother,” and didn’t find the reality of the experience as rewarding as the fantasies she entertained back in her old bedroom during after-school sessions of self-abuse of being some black man’s whore. What she recounted to anybody who would listen on the Internet was presumably the fish story she dreamed up to talk Daddy into paying for the abortion.
Think about it. Are we really expected to believe that she tried to lecture the “rapist” about the brotherhood of man instead of run?

This woman doesn’t deserve pity. Save it for a real victim of rape, not one so proud in her useless ideologies that she would excuse it. Leftism/liberalism (as has been said before) is a mental illness. No one in their right minds would excuse this and defend it. I’ve seen someone defend Karla Homolka over Linda Gibbons. I’ve seen feminists willfully ignore sexual mutilation of women. They cannot let go of their pride and idiocy to let the truth into their brains.
