  3. Obviously none of these ivory tower geniuses has ever painted anything, because that mask is a standard issue 3M charcoal filter mask with the cartridges taken off. Familiar to farmers, painters, carpenters, and pretty much anyone who’s ever done more in life than screw in a light bulb.
    Which should tell you everything you need to know about who they are and what their lives are about.

First will come the public school campaigns complete with appropriate films and committees urging their fellow students to do the right thing for “Mother Earth” replete with take-home materials to propagandize the parents. And, as we see today re the Calif State Teachers Union website cartoon against capitalism narrated by Ed Asner, the involvement of unions and Hollywood to aid the cause; next “hearings” at the state and federal level, followed by PSAs sponsored by “concerned citizens” groups, to be followed by “resolutions” passed by city councils and State/national legislatures; followed govt-sponsored PSAs, eventually morphing into “test programs” in selected cities complete with street “monitors,” handing out “warning tickets” to non-compliant citizens, to be further followed by state/federal legislation mandating when/where such masks must be worn and number of hrs/day–and fines for non-compliance, followed by calls for further funding for “compliance” personnel and “educational materials.” Finally, yet further calls for greater fines and increased funding for compliance “police” as resistance is met. Eventually jail-time and/or “treatment centers” for repeat offenders will be proposed. Sound far-fetched? Remember when critics of those attacking tobacco were laughed out of the public discourse when they predicted that the food police would INEVITABLY be next on the horizon? Remember how laughable that all was? SURE you do..

  15. Why stop at pets? Why not send these brilliant people out into the wilderness to fit these masks on all the polar bears, caribou, cheetahs, elephants, whales etc. Maybe even small ones for mice.

    Good post. Decisions that once were made by politicians are now made by bureaucrats and activists with the force of law behind them. Activists never quit. When they have ridden one horse into the ground they just change horses and keep riding to the next cause. There will never be a end to the things that must be removed for our own good. Always under the same banner. Think of the children or look what it’s costing…. or my favorite,”if even one life is saved”. Most of these people don’t have a life of their own and only feel fulfilled if they can meddle in other lives. Professional busybodies.

    the idea of humans wearing masks in order not to do what is part of God’s plan of creation (living things exhale CO2) is a righteous act revealing how much they seriously care about Mother Earth.

    Ken,I think we both know the answer to that,eventually the government of the day will be unable to afford to keep the welfare State going,so they’ll look to eliminate those least able to defend themselves.
    They will invoke “involuntary euthanasia”,as they do currently in Holland.
    The very old and helpless will be euthanised by the hundreds of thousands,if not millions.
    The children of the leftists who have been raised in an educational system that has inculcated them with “Earth First” propaganda,will accept this with alacrity.
    That may sound very “doom and gloom”-ish, but that’s the way I see it.

  30. 640 talk radio was discussing today how Bell Canada is asking all of its 6,000 employees to remove poinsettia plants as 1, ONE employee is allergic to the plant. They will have people going around to make sure everyone complies. The host noted that a allergy specialist had heard of people allergic to poinsettias but they must be in contact with the sap of the plant, something he had never heard happening.
    They just never stop.

  34. I believe that the mask could be built. The CO2 could be saved in 50 gallon pressurized containers and later on used to put out grass fires in SW Saskatchewan. Yo!

    Carbon sequestration masks, a fine earning opportunity, probably get a business development grant from the govt as well.
    Maybe, hug a polar bear TV, is not so far fetched. I can see the episode, where the caring, earth loving kind soul, goes forth to save the bears from out gassing carbon.
