I just Googled Amazon.ca and found that there are two copies of Brian Lilley's book available, "2 new" @ $30.07 each.

I was invited to be the first one to review this book, which is strange as Brian said in his interview with Ezra that the book had been reviewed by an ex-employee of the CBC who agreed with all of Lilley's grievances with "Canada's National Broadcaster."

Then, this item, just below a description of the book:

you went to amazon.ca. Go instead to amazon.com

and you'll see the Hilliard review

Thanks, Ken! Vis a vis Franklin Hilliard's review, it's interesting to note that not all of the CBC's employees were part of the Leftist cabal.

Isn't it a little odd -- except that it's not -- that Amazon.ca (ca standing for "Canada," n'est-ce pas?) isn't running reviews for this book?

This is a lame post on a lame Sun TV segment.

I've been seeing a lot of SunTV the last few weeks because I'm home recovering from a trip to the hospital.

As much as I appreciate Brian Lilly's efforts to expose the CBC for the destructive and parasitic organism that it is .... I've had my fill of the shallow and just plain amateurish production they put out.

This is a shame because it is the ONE and ONLY alternative to the Canadian media establishment.

I fear SunTV will be going out in a fizzle soon.

Well OMMAG, congradulations on returning home alive from the hospital....many don't.

A bit of advise....in the past, from my own experience, convolescing at home, is like a bad case of cabin fever. Very swiftly TV becomes an insult to your intelligence....be grateful you have something other than the CBC to watch.

Now I'm retired, and not in the best of health, even the prospect of mowing the lawn is the high point of my day. I haven't turned the TV on for weeks.

Perhaps if Sun TV had $1.1 billion plus annually to work with courtesy of the Canadian taxpayer, its productions would be more professional and glossy.

As it stands, this is not the case. Personally, I find the information available on Sun to be of much greater interest and importance than the presentation.

Agree completely. After years of lefty drivel on all other CDN networks Sun news is a godsend.

Biffjr

you are so correct. When the presentation is more important than the content then why bother with content!!aka CBC, NBC,CBS, etc.

One of the first things that PMSH should have with his majority was absolutely blast the CBC out of existance. It isn't even about the 5% viewership stat it is about the leftard employment. Every nutcase in the country can count on a CBC stipend at some point. It is beyond rediculous.

The Frank Hilliard he refers to, blogs as Mesopotamia West.

Wow
I am no supporter of the CBC, but if that is the best the SUN can come up with, they are going to find tough going getting more public opinion going their way.

Is the point that CBC should have travel policies that restrict the amount paid for tickets? And there should be some governance around conference costs? It seemed like Ezra and Brian were saying that as a result of public scrutiny and outing, those kinds of controls have been introduced.

Come on man. You can do better! You have done better.

rroe, this is just one segment of a number of segments dealing with the CBC's profligacy. Maybe you don't give a damn if a CBC employee pays almost $5000 for an air ticket to Europe, but seeing as it's on the taxpayer dime and many of us fly very rarely -- no one's paying our way -- I give a damn. I think it's a disgrace and this item is just the tiniest tip of the CBC waste-taxpayer-dollars iceberg.

What else would you like them to expose? Something more important? The issue here is that there is a great deal of fiscal mismanagement at the CBC which is accumulative and which costs the Canadian public millions of dollars each year. The spending at the CBC should be transparent but in their entitlement and arrogance they refuse to be accountable ... something about their creative freedom ...

Bulls**t. Creative freedom for the CBC and more financial profligacy for us.

I congratulate SUN TV for it's chutzpah in exposing the rot at the CBC and am not overly concerned by their "amateur" delivery. As someone else has pointed out, they don't get $1.2 billion taxpayer dollars. Given the shoestring they have on which to produce their programs, they're doing a damned good job!

Re above post: Creative freedom for the CBC and more CBC financial profligacy for us to pay for.

Harper has already killed RCI - what will stop him from killing CBC Radio? I'd say leave radio as it is

That said CBC television is a travesty - running just as many adverts as their competition all the while being subsidized. It needs fixing.

Let's not throw the baby out with the bath water.

I would leave CBC radio only if they get fair and balanced. It is a constant barage of weenies, whiners, hypochondriacs and wingnuts. Never a opposing view or acknowledgement that there are two sides to every story. Constant lefty crap on native issues, gay issues and a tree huggers dream on the perils of global warming. Anti pipeline, industry, Harper, oil sands , capitalism etc and they seem to take pride in biting the hand that feeds them.
Cut them loose and they would probably do fine as half the Canadian population adores them. The left half.
