So logical. Obamas whole premise to a better America is to have the top of the gene pool pay for whatever the bottom of the gene pool requires and the bottom has the numbers to see this become a reality. True socialism. Free phones. Forward.

I wonder what would happen to voting patterns in the USA and Canada if a simple 5 question civics test was mandatory before you were handed your ballot?

I'd like to see those with a conflict of interest barred from voting (i.e. anyone collecting a government cheque).

I term his core constituency the unwashed and the unread. The unwashed speak for themselves. The unread include soccer moms and dads too absorbed in life to occasionally take a peek over the hedge to see what's really going on.

I'll have hope for Canada when Jr Trudeau is Liberal leader in the next election only if
Obama is defeated on Tuesday.

Just take a look south at the friggin' uproar and carnage that's going on because the power is off in -parts- of NY and NJ for three days. Its not a plague, its not a war, its not an earthquake. Its a -power outage- that the masses were warned about DAYS IN ADVANCE. Still couldn't get their sh1t together.

Reasonable people who thought for two seconds and planned ahead only a tiny bit are fine. Boneheads are sleeping in the high school gym wearing their PJs, flipflops and a borrowed jacket. And they're hungry.

Just imagine if something -bad- happened. Like the government went bankrupt as Greece has, and the welfare cheques stopped coming twice a month. Oh -baby-!

If it were not for the idiot vote ... there would be no NDP, GreenParty,Commie Party, Liberal Party etc. Same for the US with crank liberal Dems and the likes of Nader.

BTW ... as far s I know I first used the term "idiocracy" when writing about the Canadian support for left wing political parties over five years ago.

Neutralize the Idiot Vote through....Proportional Representation™!

Fix the fundamental flaw inherent in our current version democracy in three easy steps;

Suck oxygen = one vote

Suck O2 AND pay property tax = two votes

Suck O2, AND pay property AND income tax = three votes.

Presto, balance restored between the demand for consumption, and the carrying capacity of production.

And then a Constitutional amendment that limits all forms of government in total to confiscate no more than 30% of GDP.

Plus a limit on borrowing powers, a.k.a. the "passing of the buck" to the next generation.
