Take Me, Obama

I'm a little late with this, but just the same - congratulations Democrats!

And best of luck with the next four years...

A very good analysis. And a bleak outlook.

I maintain that the entire focus of the Democrats is Power. I also maintain the Obama has no intellectual ability to understand or develop economic or indeed any other policy. He's only the upfront, onstage slogan-pontificating cheerio. (What a mess of adjectives!) His needs are basic: sycophantic adulation. The needs of the Democratic party are different: Power.

The first term was about winning the second term. Period. They did this by purchasing a massive dependent set of Identity Bloc voters. Now, for the 2016 election.

Certainly, Obama, who is unable to sit at a table and discuss and analyze issues, because, after all, he is Above Everyone, won't deal with Congress. He didn't do this before 2010 when he lost the House and he didn't do it after. He operates by Executive Fiat.

BUT, to win in 2016, the Democrats have to deal with the disastrous economy that they, not Bush, but that they have created. They can't continue to blame Bush. They can blame the GOP all they want, and they will certainly do this, heavily, this term.

But, blame won't give them the 2016 election. So I predict they'll follow much of the Romney-Ryan plan.

A major fault line, however, is that ObamaCare is destroying the small business capacity of the economy, and small business are the major source of wealth production in modern economies. So, what will they do about that?

"Let's keep going (Forward!)"
"Whadda mean?...You're sure?
"Yeah"
(Hey! Before you do, let us out of the backseat, ladies, 'cause we didn't vote for this...oh f@#k!! this f@#king door won't f@#king open...heeelp!!!)

The Democrats are now "face to face" with the failed economic decisions that have brought the USA to this end game. I am not at all surprised that Obama has gone to Burma. The Dems well know that he is an empty suit and they are stuck with him for the next four years. Better off to have him out of the way for now. And please, spare me an "emotional" Obama and his tears. Not sure if they are a political ploy or there is something more going on.

Is that an Orc peering out from the cattle car..?..seems appropriate.

ET, if past behavior is the best indicator of future conduct, then Obama continues his tack to the left. How to pay for his indentured voting base..?.. gut the military silly.

syncrodox- Obama is an empty suit and empty brain. There's nothing there; it isn't that he 'tacks to the left' ideologically. He has no ideology. He only has: Himself. He needs constant adulation.

It's the backroom gang that run him that are the ideologues, but I maintain they are in it only for: Power. Not even for the policies, but: Power. Control over the people.

I don't think that tax increases or reducing the military will pay for the trillions in debt and for the upkeep of Obama's new millions of people utterly dependent on Him, for their daily lives.

I wonder if the republican controlled Senate will just step out of the way and let the democrats run the ship aground? If they don't, the MSM and the dem's will continue to blame them for ruining O's grand scheme to fix things. Then again, the dem's will probably put a poison pill into every measure just to ensure the republicans fight it so they have their scape goat.

ET
Obama is just window dressing for the pupeteers.

2016 will be impossible to win for the Repubs. There is approx 47% of people getting some sort of Govt cheque now in 2016 that will probably be 60% depending on the Govt for their phones and smokes etc.
Where will the money come from?

My crystal ball is officially broken, at this point. I have to come to grips with the reality that half the voting public bought in to this obvious scam, and that nearly 30% of people couldn't even stir themselves to go vote on it. Worse, that in Canada we are looking at the exact same picture. Three years from now we could be looking at Prime Minister Trudeau again. This time with no USA to go hide in.

All I can do is find high ground and hope the sandbags hold. Happy Fiscal Cliffmass everyone.

ET- I agree on Barry the empty suit, Valerie Jarret et al set the course but it seems they believe that no amount of debt is too much. "Too big to fail" so to speak. Tax the rich, gut the military, indenture more peons for the base, QE IV, V, VI...borrow what they can and damn the torpedoes.

Phantom, now, you've really thrown a wrench in my day! Trudeau?

Harper is, in my view, probably the best PM this nation has ever had, and even, right now, the best leader in the entire world. I mean that: the best.

Now, for the 'left' in Canada to win, they'd first have to merge the Liberals and NDP. Mulcair won't do that very easily! Not unless he's the leader. And, the economy and lifestyles in Canada have to be such to cause a rejection of Harper.

I'm aware of the Toronto Star, CBC and the Globe and Mail's visceral hatred for Harper. There's a solid bloc of frothing anti-Harper posters on G&M comment boards. It's incredible the ignorant and offensive hatred these people have for Harper. But, they aren't all Canadians.

I admit the leftist Canadian love for Obama suggests an adulation of Trudeau, but, ...

Dan S. makes a good point. Sometimes in a scrap the best move is to let go, sidestep and watch your opponent go ass over tea kettle...

Couple of times visiters to this site blithely make comments about a Republican controlled Senate. The Senate is controlled by the Democrats and the House is controlled by the Republicans.

I really thought someone, would point this out earlier, my mistake. Cheers;

Herd animals only need room for grazing, over 99% of them don't need a vote. Overfeeding only leads to health and social problems with the herd.

After the next revolution when there's 1 taxpayer, 1 vote, here's an excellent policy that only needs urban adaptation:

ET, I think you need to read up on George Orwell. The Democrats will care not one wit about fixing the economy to pay for their largesse. They will let it all crash & burn around them. They will blame everyone else for their failures. They will tell the people that it is Bush's fault, the Republicans' fault, Wall Street's fault, the rich's fault. They will tell the people that they will fix it all for them, and make it go away. And the people will believe them. Look at California.

The American people are not what we thought they were.

I.M. The American people are many things. Obama's re-election can only be explained by the dearth of true information getting to the public. Blame the media, not even Fox is that informative. The public assumes the future will be like the present because they never known anything other than freedom, peace and prosperity. Most Americans were and are unprepared for what Obama truly is, indeed he is hard to quantify. We can clearly see he is mildly insane, stupid outside his area of expertise, which is campaigning.

An uninformed, immature and unprepared electorate put Obama into power. The question is how much pain will it take to re-educate the Americans, or is this truly the end of the experiment?

If Obama can destroy US freedom, power and prosperity in 8 years then America was not that strong of a country to begin with. In which case success, not failure, was a facade, a temporary effort doomed to fail.

I agree with Dan S.

Toss em the keys, and get off the highway ...... till after the inevitable crash.

Yes, ET @ 11:02 a.m., exactly. The Democrats with their narcissistic, adulation-addicted POTUS are going to have to own the next four years and I'm just now beginning to feel not as badly that the Romney/Ryan ticket didn't win.

I know that Romney/Ryan were ready to roll up their sleeves and attempt to shovel out all of the **it the Dem horse created but it would be a mammoth task -- it is a mammoth task whoever's in power -- and they'd take nothing but blame no matter what they did. (I'm still sorry, however, they weren't given the mandate to roll up their sleeves ...)

Now that the American electorate has chosen the feel-good, "caring," free-stuff, president, he's going to have to deal with what he's built in the last four years: out-of-control debt, high unemployment, fewer and fewer small businesses either starting or staying in business, a completely gridlocked Congress/House, IOW, a colossal mess. It's going to be pretty difficult for him to continue to blame the GOP, though he'll try.

As Americans' household incomes decline and their taxes rise, I don't think they'll be seeing Oblahblah through the rose-coloured glasses of the past four years. The Obamanation's going to have to live with all of the promises he made during this campaign and, despite his bleating about supporting the middle class, the middle class is going to continue to be decimated because of his profligate financial policies.

So, Obummer's going to have to wear this empty-suit, empty-chair presidency. It will be fascinating to see what he does now.

It's a sheep.

"Dead pig left at Republican HQ in Manhattan Beach"....

Oh Noes!! Michael Moore is dead??

The NDP in Saskatchewan never cared about economic growth, because economic growth was a challenger to their power over the people.

They wanted crown corporations and loads of government workers dependent on NDP largesse in order to be prosperous.

The non-government workers could be bought with welfare and social programs.

A private sector worker making a good living was a competitor to their power. This is why they came after the family farm and tried to destroy rural communities. Keep everyone in Regina working for the government and everyone in the boonies poor and dependent.

This is the Obama plan. Ideologically they want left-wing solutions. If they can't pay for it they'll just wrack the debt. If failure arrives, then they double down. If it arrives again. Double down again.

Well sheep makes more sense...doh!

As the rich aren't stupid, they are going to hide their money and never pay a cent. Even if one could make them, it still wouldn't be enough to cover the debt, ect.

I live amongst the Michigan UAW folks. These people have no idea what they've voted for. They just think Obama is for the middle class period. I mentioned that we might not have any gun rights before too long to several of these people. I always get vehement denials on this and strange looks. Not one of these guys understands how a business works, that if you tax it more or for an employer to pay out healthcare expenses the money has to come from somewhere. Let these ignorant morons own there vote.

Could the crash of "Orca" have been caused by those who didn't want Romney's campaign to get out the vote? Via Drudge:

http://blogs.computerworld.com/governmentindustries/21310/inside-look-behind-romneys-loss-epic-failure-its-orca-big-data-app

"Many things went wrong with Romney's campaign for president, but one of the biggest was the epic failure of the campaign's big-data app for getting out the vote, called Orca. When the campaign needed it most, Orca was beached.

"Politico has an excellent summary of the problems it says that Orca had. Among them were that the Romney campaign kept it secret and didn't beta-test it before it was rolled out on Election Day. That meant that the people who it was designed for -- the thousands of volunteers across the country -- didn't have a chance to learn how to use it before it was launched. And Orca kept crashing throughout the day.

"The system was designed to identify likely Romney voters who had not yet voted on Election Day, and then get them to vote. But it continually crashed and people didn't know how to use it. Here's what Politico has to say about the consequences:"

The numbers in the interface never moved, leaving officials in Boston and out in the states "flying blind" -- a phrase used by several people. The workers on the ground didn't know what doors to knock on or what efforts to make with which voter targets who had not yet turned out --- some efforts were made but they were slow and more cumbersome. And the campaign officials also generally didn't know which precincts to send auto-calls into to try to boost turnout -- especially in precincts in Ohio, where there is no party affiliation in the general election. Instead of targeted information, all they really had to work with was the generic raw vote tallies in various counties.

In the West, it doesn't seem to matter who you vote for, you always get more: welfare, warfare, bureaucracy, regulation, stimulus, inflation. Oh, and not to forget: multiculturalism and political correctness.

"If voting made any difference, it would be illegal."
