"Some days they seem engaged only on Twitter, where they spend hours preening for one another and sneering at outsiders."

Kate, I can't stand the twit-heads any more, they will fall down when they cause being starving and alone.
Who is John Galt?

Then they will STILL blame it on Capitalism .

'The end result of wrapping "unfortunates" in cotton batten, poor babies, because life has been tough. 'The result of relegating objective truth, responsibility, and accountability to the dust bin.

These reporters have bought the multiculturally driven myths of poor Barry never-knew-his-dad, visible-minority Soetoro, and figure that seeing as everyone else in his life has wrapped him in cotton batten to protect him from the harsh realities of life, that's their job too.

Kyrie eleison. And, please God, after tonight, he melts into a golf-obsessed Hawaiian oblivion where the only people he bothers are Michelle and his servants.

I think in stating the MSM is done over this, as the column does, is probably an overstatement. It's more like a cancer, slowly eating away at them from the inside, destroying any vestiges of credibility they have left.

The type of journalism they practice is simply not sustainable over the long haul. A century from now -- though they will have been wiped out some 90 years earlier -- journalism students will be analyzing their fossilized remains, shocked that they thought they could get away with what they were doing in perpetuity.

It won't happen today or tomorrow but if Romney does win, it will prove in the end to be just another nail in their coffin.

The media knows that they can control many with their stories, and they do.
Remember the cbc investigated themselves for bias. They came out smelling like roses. Two huge problems in that farce were that they were investigating themselves, and you cannot find bias in stories that have not been written.

The Benghazi coverup is incredibly immoral. Our own media did the same with Layton's 'velvet touch' adventure. The two are not comparable because of the actual events, but because of the media complicity in hiding the facts from the people during an election campaign.

Shame on the all,and for the cbc,FIRE.THEM.ALL.

BTW,the cbc has this wonderful piece of journalism up yesterday.A lot of the cbc fans are even dumping on this bumf.

We can be certain of one thing; there will be no self examination or introspection from our media class. Bias is impossible because their reporting is only a reflection of the "TRUTH" and in their world it is the viewpoint of the majority.

Mesmerized by years and years of inbreeding of Che and Mao thought processes has led the so called MSM to this, where they no not what they do anymore because evil is their master. They are to dull and ephemeral to follow any of their any of their logic to the end game. They are to wrapped up in Twittering about the Kardashians cup sizes, or any conservatives "stupidity" to study Chinese, Russian or even Cuban history, or as Michael Cambell said, "they don't even know, what they don't even know". If any of them were loaded up and delivered to Zimbabwe for an extended stay, they would suddenly have the Lara Logan transformation and quit trying to make the story what they wish for, and just report the facts, like Bengazi! This will be the day the Americans give the Alberta boot to media liars.

Liberal urnalists remind me of slaves from the 18th century who became attached to their masters, liberals slavishly serve their liberal elite masters for mere peanuts to ensure they can stand behind them and smell the stench of entitlement. They are nothing more than waterboys for the rich elites that they'll never become. They're the 21st century hanger ons.

Now, now, some of those young people are working in the legacy media, and will be only too happy to throw the old hacks to the wolves when the plain people of America finally show up to riot.

If the example of TV Free Romania or DDR television is anything to go by, once decent people finally have the traitors on the run even the legacy media will stop talking garbage. They simply will no longer have a choice. TVRomania joined the revolution as soon as the Ceausescus were driven from Bucharest. The Communist papers in Romania simply disappeared. Scînteia was renamed Avedarul, and all the pro-Ceausescu hacks were fired.

The boys at DDR TV, meanwhile, started "retiring" their old, unrepentant communist talking heads even before the Wall came down, as soon as it became clear that the Russians weren't coming to save the SED. Who knows? Maybe in 20 years one of Chris Matthews' interns will tempt him out of his bedsit with a few bucks or bottles of vodka and put him in front of a camera to ramble on about the good old days, condemning himself with his own words. Ought to be good for a laugh.

Next Christmas in Bucharest!

Just remember when you see these scumbags treat them with the disrespect they deserve.

I really liked what Jon said @ 7:42am and Nold said @ 8:45am. Hypothetically, let's imagine that Mitt Romney wins a HUGE victory tonight. What do you realistically think will be the reaction from these two groups, whose pre-election analysis was completely wrong:

1. Journalists aka the "Math is Hard" crowd?
2. Pollsters, who specialize in GIGO (Garbage In = Garbage Out)?

#1 will blame #2, citing that they were just reporting what the pollsters told them.

#2 will cite the "one time out of twenty statistics are off" excuse, refusing to acknowledge the fact that their [mostly] phone call data gathering approach belongs in the last century and simply will not work in a culture where most people live on their mobile phones and, in most places, these phones cannot be called by the pollsters.

So, in other words, it'll be "same old, same old". No shame. No apologies. No admission of messing up royally. Nothing. Just a big sweep of the broom and the old "Nothing to see here folks. Move on." :-(

One thing I've learned from this recent political cycle is to carefully & politely ask people who espouse views similar to the pro-Left MSM is this: "What media outlets do you typically watch & read?" Forcing people to think carefully about where they get their information is one of the greatest gifts any SDA'er can do for the ignorant masses.

#1 will blame #2, citing that they were just reporting what the pollsters told them.

#2 will cite the "one time out of twenty statistics are off" excuse . . .

Wot? No one will blame a YouTube video?

Journalism attracts those that can't handle the rigors of a English degree. It's one of the lowest testing majors. They have zero math or science ability. Little if any history. In short, dumb.
Dumb in, dumb out.
If any of them did have ability, drive to Wade through conflicting data, they'd be hired out at many time salary to marketing, finance, etc.
The news biz is like any other biz and pays as little as possible. So you have basically dumb, poorly paid losers called reporters.

If Romney does win, I suspect the media will not go into denial but will start to side openly with the inevitable left-wing chorus of "rigged election" looking for any crumbs of evidence and ignoring massive fraud in the other direction.

The new theme will be how the people were robbed of their natural leader, rather than how they empowered their natural leader.

Not that I care.

Journalists are scum. What a loser career. I really do hate them.

Canada's press - petty, partisan and pathetic.
