Operation Demoralize

I seem to recall a year ago that the biggest fans of Romney were my liberal friends. The was my first warning.

The RINOs in the US are out in force calling for "reaching out" and accommodation.

It is truly disgusting.

Yeah, always puzzled me that conservatives would take advice from liberals on how to get elected. Even if it worked, why bother?
Read mark steyn interview this morning who pointed out something we should never forget: there is no point in ethnic and tribal identity pandering. You encourage people to vote according to their civic identity and as members of a larger society.
I admit this might not work, but if not, then it's too late anyway.

For decades this has been going on. Hollywood demoralizes conservatives with almost every movie. Academia makes conservatives feel like lepers -- all of us who have sat through the lectures of our profs have gone through this. The main stream media contributes to this. It has been going on for decades. The propaganda demonizes and demoralizes the right, constantly. We can't utter a word of common sense about the economy, immigration and society and out comes the "evil, homophobic, racist, bigot, fanatic, fundamentalist, heartless greedy rich" slurs. All they have to do now is add the hooked nose and octopus arms to our caricature and we're the new Nazi Germany's new Jews.

Some on this site have urged us to keep fighting. I say, let them have it all. They've had our culture for decades and the misery and dysfunction has increased everywhere. Let them have the government. Let them take from those who work and give to those who won't. Let them destroy the job creators. Romney kept saying, "I'll create jobs." The majority who voted for Obama didn't want jobs. They just want to take from those who have jobs.

Let them own it. Let things implode. Only the strong and moral will survive the mess and we'll build and grow again.

I'm not demoralized. I'm just shrugging. Let's stop trying to rescue these people from themselves, as poor Romney tried, and just let them own it. The Collapse is all theirs. We'll make it and we'll rebuild. We won't be the ones with the STDs, drug addictions, depression and emotional hang-ups that come with their choices. We won't be the ones with our hands out for help that'll never come from a laughing-all-the-way-to-the-bank Obama-led elite.

They haven't demoralized me. Through the years, as I observed all this demonization from Hollywood, academia and the mainstream media, I've realized that I don't care anymore; I just detachedly watch them spit and spew. It's over. Why bother trying to save this society from itself?

Politics is about winning. There's no second prize. You don't get to run the country from the back seat.

So . . . watch the republicans elect another white, 50 something millionaire (billionaire) to lead their party by demanding low taxes for the rich and and privileged and suggesting a poorly defined program that will probably undercut health care.

You're right. I surmised a long time ago, that the white man in North America is in deep trouble because of the changing demographic due to immigration. Even tho the white man may be the largest ethnic group in the bunch, he is out numbered, when the other groups are combined.

Obama was going to win regardless, just because, or some saw him as a means to stick it to the white man. And I believe the election was just that.

The Repubs would of been better off to tell the American populace the hard cold facts about the financial crisis coming and basically tell them if you want this pile of crap to grow, be prepared to sit in it, and so go vote for Obama and enjoy the decline.

Here in Canada we are somewhat removed, but not too far behind.

Folks Romney did not lose because of his ethnicity, wealth, religion, policies, or campaign. Romney lost because the election was stolen. By design a certain percentage of Republican vote was not counted. Romney won the election by quite a margin and would be headed to the White House had the vote count been even close to accurate.

As Harper learned over the years the key to success is to attack the enemy. You cannot win against these terrorists by being a nice, reasonable man. Notice how the MSM loves how nice Romney's CONCESSION speech was. Do you think they would have fawned over his victory speech?

The Republicans can indulge in this navel gazing post traumatic stress crap all they want, and the leftist cabal will happily feed it, but it won't set the stage for success the next time. They they need to get some clear thinking proper strategists in place abd focus on their real threat. the media and its message. All the money the spent attacking and mostly countering a democratic agenda bought them nothing. No real increase in anything. Republicans attacked the wrong center of gravity. If but a small percentage of what they spent on countering and reacting to the Democrats , was spent on attacking and ultimately discrediting the media and the academia, they would have found their attacks on the Democrats would have had lasting traction. Republicans and conservatives need to focus their efforts on the real enemy - The media and their ability to own the message. Disrupt the Left's ability to deliver a credible message - and I do not care how, logic, persuasion, bribery, violence, whatever, just discredit and make it far more costly and far more difficult to deliver a leftist message and everything else will fall into place. Logic will win out. The enemy is the media.

GaryinWpg and Ann, great posts and right on. As in Europe most of the population has been conditioned now to look to government for their livelihood and as their nanny. As Limbaugh said its hard to fight Santa Claus.

Romney was a good candidate but as it has been said on this site so many time when there are more takers than makers those that support the makers are going to lose.

That there is need for a radical activist conservative (preferably old conservative)/ libertarian movement. An unabashed pro-liberty movement. And that it needs to, paraphasing the communist president, GET IN THEIR FACES.

Just look at he "conservative" Chris Christie whom Coulter was horny for. Look at the kissy face for Obama. Phoning him after the election, e-mailin Mitt.

One example he cited: the LEFT's persistent advocacy of "gay marriage" over 20 years from a time when it was very very unpopular.

This radical liberty movement should damn the allegedly lost votes and say stuff like: Food Stamps should be stamped out. Etc.

America is changing and the GOP does need to drop certain boneheaded tactics. Stop alienating Hispanic with talk of 'self-deportation'. Stop alienating America's growing socially modern block with anti-gay marriage nonsense. America's tomorrow is a secular post-religious nation. It's one of the few good things going on get with it.

Rush pointed out today that it's mighty interesting that the democrats are saying it's Rush's fault that Romney lost. If that's true you would think they would encourage people to listen to him but the opposite appears to be true. Hmmmm.....

The left freaked out about supposed voter fraud and vote suppression in 2004 -- we shouldn't do the same now. Obama won. He got the most votes. And he will keep buying the votes of certain demographics with the tax dollars of those who don't support him. America has tipped over.

It's a weakness of democracy.

I totally agree. In all the states where Romney was winning, all of sudden he wasn't.

Long voter lines: Long lists of voters who hadn't yet voted? A few phone calls? A few bus loads of voters all too happy to vote in their place, especially as no photo ID was required?

I'm quite willing to believe that the election was stolen, but I don't think that really gets us anywhere. Romney could and should have won it past the margin where it could have been stolen. As Hugh Hewitt famously said, "If it isn't close they can't steal it." The Republicans knew going in that they'd have to win convincingly, and they certainly could have. They failed. And we're back where we started.
