It doesn't hurt that he's half white already (just like Trudeau was half-English). If Obama were all black, people would have seen through him a lot sooner. Even the Democrats were never daft enough to nominate Jesse Jackson. The "community" ate up Jackson's demagoguery with a spoon. Everyone else laughed at him. Michelle Robinson, left to her own devices, would never have gotten anywhere near the White House, unless she wanted the job of washing Hillary Clinton's knickers.
