I live in Canada. I love my American neighbours. I must respect that the choice was theirs. Obama won fair and square. And I also have to be thankful that tomorrow morning, Mr. Harper will still be in Ottawa. And bye the bye, has anyone seen Pierre Poutine lately? Tell him we miss him!

A squeaker at best for Obama. No mandate, no endorsement - the job done but it would appear to have been a damned close run thing.

Our American friends are very, very deeply split. This election simply confirms this fact.

Obama is going to have to deal with the fiscal cliff, Benghazi and an economy which is, apparently, content to "print" its way out of trouble.

Nothing during the campaign suggested that Obama had a clue about what he should do or how he should do it.

I suspect it may get a bit ugly over the next couple of years.
