About Kate
Why this blog?
Until this moment
I have been forced
to listen while media
and politicians alike
have told me
"what Canadians think".
In all that time they
never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio - "You don't speak for me."

This may be the watershed moment in current US history. The first revolution was caused by over-taxation and the infringement on personal liberty. All the signs are there for a mass uprising
happening again.
Rick, that's what we all thought about the election too. Half the people who could be @ssed to vote were on-side with the mass layoff.
Ain't going to be no uprising until after the electricity shuts off for a few weeks and the stay-at-home morons get cold. Even then they'll go for the first Strongman who can get the power back on.
Hope you bought lots of wheel weights.
Yup. But will all these layed off employees get a free phone and their mortgage paid for?
And note that Obama has left for Burma.
Remember, Obama is not and has never been involved in policy analysis and development, but can only be onstage and campaign, ie, present Himself as a stage-messiah removed from substantive debate and work.
Obamacare is a massive attack against small and medium businesses, which are the major wealth producing sector of a modern economy.
They cannot continue to borrow; the Democrats must sustain their new government-dependent voter bloc...those sets of the population developed by the Democrats over the last four years to be their main electoral base; food stamp recipients, unemployed, public service unionized workers; single women, hispanics. How will the Democrats sustain their faithful dependents?
Layoff "99% or more" of Phillidelphia's workers; they're cool with it.
ET said: "How will the Democrats sustain their faithful dependents?"
Badly, I expect. Detroit on a really large scale. Stupid b@stiges will still vote for them anyway.
Not unprecedented though. Americans did the same thing in the 1930's, re-elected Roosevelt twice even though his New Deal crap made the Great Depression last ten long years.
Its like Limbaugh says, you can't beat Santa Claus.
Could be Kate is going to get that famine she wanted. I'm adding glass mason jars to my wheel weights, powder and beans storage.
The slide will continue on a steepened curve now. This might very well be by design and the majority who have not prepared will be swept aside. You can't eat your 'Bama phone. Winter is on the door step making this scenerio accelerate.

Too bad the layoffs aren't applicable to the government workforce too!
There won't be a rebellion unless the majority of those laid off are (I hate to say it) black.
All the whites will do is moan groan complain bitch grumble and kick the dog.
If the union workers suspected it was coming and didn't vote for Romney, they'll get what they deserve.
They should have remembered that Santa Claus doesn't come from Hawaii, via Kenya and Indonesia, but the great white north.
Speaking of "forward!" here is another look at Obama's America.
Layoff Carpet Bombing . . so richly deserved by the fools that voted for Obamassiah.
Life is a series of lessons.
Lessons will be repeated until learned.
America still has lots and lots and lots of learning left to do, especially the 45% free stuff cohort.
California is the new Greece.
New York is the new Spain.
Washington D.C. is the new Athens on the Potomac.
As I said in an earlier post, the voters, to paraphrase Mencken, are about to "get it good and hard."
Choices have consequences.
I loved the piece which said that liberals are screaming about revenge. Dolts. Business has been warning about the employment consequences of Obamacare for at least two years.
This time it may not be the patriots that revolt. Remember the French revolution was started by the rabble. This time it may be revolt of the Negro.
Just what you could image if the local Church's or Popeye's closed down and the phone signal for the Obamaphones was interrupted?
If you find that racist, grow screw yourself. It's the hard truth and I would defy anyone to prove it incorrect.
cgh said: "I loved the piece which said that liberals are screaming about revenge. Dolts. Business has been warning about the employment consequences of Obamacare for at least two years."
cgh, do you remember 'waaaaay back to last week when Sandy hit, and we saw those pictures of cars floating up out of the underground parking in south Manhattan? A whole fleet of cabs that were flooded?
That's who we are dealing with. People so mentally dysfunctional that they get warned of a flood for a whole week, and still leave their most expensive possession in a parking lot below sea level. You can literally get right up in their face and scream "YOUR CAR WILL BE DESTROYED IF YOU DON'T MOVE IT!!!" and they will -argue- with you. And not move it.
And then they will whine after their car is destroyed, and demand that you replace it. Demand, mind you. I've lived there. I have seen this behavior. There are so many of them like this, you can't believe it.
F- 'em. Let the sonsab1tches starve. See how they like that.
Same news, but with a Left-wing media spin:
"Workers enjoy more leisure time under Obama".
That's fine. Now there should be absolutely nothing holding Obama back from taxing the poop out of these guys for playing this little game.
Republicans... putting politics first. Country and people last.

H/T Mao Stlong/Bob Rae, c/o Red China.
...-
"Volvo to Lay Off 22,000 Employees, Swedish Newspapers Report"
"Swedish newspapers have reported that Volvo will lay off 22,000 full-time employees, but a China Volvo official said he had not received information about this. Ning Shuyong, vice president of Volvo China, said if cost-saving measures were taken they would not involve 22,000 employees. Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, a Chinese auto manufacturer, acquired Volvo for US$ 1.8 billion in 2010. But the Swedish car maker has struggled this year, selling about 347,000 cars in the first 10 months of the year, a decline of 5.9 percent compared to the same period in 2011. Volvo has cut back on its research and development of new models."

If the Obama base needs more money, Obama's party will raise taxes and print more money as needed.
When that runs out, the noises will begin about "unfairness" that those who have so much (like actual jobs and actual saving) must (I repeat MUST) share with the less fortunate.
Whose who cannot flee or hide their wealth will feel pressured, by threat of violence, to "voluntarily contribute".
The army of this "people's dictatorship" will be the poor and government dependent. They will turn on their neighbours and formers friends.
It's all been done before.
My only satisfaction at this grim decline of the US is that the yuppie self-aborbed progressives, especially the women who think that Obama is better for their "freedom" than a conservative leader, will be among those who suffer the greatest decline. When the mob rules, it's not usually women who rule them... at least not for long.
From above:
Meanwhile, down at the ranch.
Suzuki to stop U.S. auto sales, exit market
Phantom, for evidence of this complete disfunctionality, see John's post two under your last.
And this is only the first round. Most of those annoucing layoffs are consumer product and service companies. This will result in loss of production and orders. Then we get the layoffs from the suppliers, evenutally rippling all the way back to the commodity producers, steel, electrical subcomponents, the lot.
This is the French business model all over again. At 50 employees a whole boatload of government taxes, fees and levies hit home. So employers do utterly everything they can to stay under the big red number.
Take 50,000 frontline jobs out of the economy and there's about a five- to ten-fold knock-on effect. So, John, who you gonna tax, and who you gonna work for when they've gone out of business, you dirt-eating moron?
All those morons, vengeance seekers, under 30's, and welfare addicts are about to realize, that B Obama is a very stupid man. The sad thing is, the Obama voters don't have sufficient brains to learn from that revelation.
Obama will start throwing parts of his winning coalition under the bus when Jan rolls around.
Speaking of "forward!" here is another look at Obama's America.

I read the whole thing even though I have known about this for years.
What is interesting is that more and more people are talking about it even though it is taboo and even dangerous.
But the fact those who dare talk about it must hide their true indentity to avoid persecution is just as shocking as black dysfunction is ( what else can we call it but a dysfunction? when decades of affirmative action and Billions of dollars have not changed a damn thing? in fact it is getting worse!...)
This is the fruit of an Obama victory. A decayed, broke, corrupted diseased parasitically Nation. That will eat its own.
When the results were announced?
I shredded all expansion and hiring plans.
