About Kate
Why this blog?
Until this moment
I have been forced
to listen while media
and politicians alike
have told me
"what Canadians think".
In all that time they
never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio - "You don't speak for me."

Yeah well....after the revolution much will change.
Counter-revolution by unregenerate redneck riff raff led by small business right wing radicals is more like it. The revolution is aspiring arriviste middleclass typified by university professors, nothing exceeds like excess.
Once more, with feeling, and in English.
I recommend going to the article in the link and reading the first comment from someone who visited UCSD (San Diego?). This apparently is a university focused on engineering, sciences, etc. and not "fill in the blank grievance studies" courses. Apparently it's a different environment completely - not surprising as one has to think in such disciplines.
The left has gone to far. They just haven't figured it out yet. To many people are on to them. The public is getting fed up with the BS being forced on them. Mankind by nature is rebellious.
"The progressive vision of free speech is decidedly one-way,"
Bin that way since 1917.
Berkeley. Enough said. Love it when Zombietime documents their latest escapades.
Reminds of me of Barry Cooper's description of York U in TO. A "Marxist theme park".
I've seen this type of behaviour at Canadian Universities regularly.
I went to St. Mary's University in Halifax, and some professors would encourage students to go to various protests, either against Israel, or the United States when Bush was President.
We had a lot of arab/middle eastern students at the school, and they rejoiced after any terror attack against the USA or Israel. One group was fond of wearing shirts that showed comments such as "I (heart) New York...even better without the World Trade Towers" or, making comments about the attack on the American ship in Yemen.
The white lefty students made do with your predictable CHE T-shirts (while they were failing economics class) or the "Bush is a terrorist" shirt which was so common then.
the one thing you can be sure of with the LEFT...they don't waste their time actually thinking about the ridiculous things their professors indoctrinate them with...they rely on speaking points.
Thinking is like Math....sometimes its just too hard to bother.
Double-plus ungood. Great Thinkers of the Ivory Tower always seem to forget the oldest language of all, however. The rock upside the head.
That's always a two-way conversation.
