We Don't Need No Stinking Sparky Cars

Factory has yet to ship out a single battery...

Workers at LG Chem, a $300 million lithium-ion battery plant heavily funded by taxpayers, tell Target 8 that they have so little work to do that they spend hours playing cards and board games, reading magazines or watching movies.

They say it's been going on for months.

"There would be up to 40 of us that would just sit in there during the day," said former LG Chem employee Nicole Merryman, who said she quit in May.

Just another in a growing list.

I didn't know we have troops in Iran...and just look at how many people have served there!

Coyote has proof of the wonderful greenie future, or is it just a wonderful greenie future until the subsidies run out and the Rent Seekers move on to the next scam.

Let's remember that Lithium is a non-renewable resource and we're are using it up at an astonishing rate.

Should this be on the "sustainable" radar of the Enviro-Wackos?

I'll stick with gasoline now and for the future. As a matter of fact, I think I'll go down to the gas station and fill my SUV right up to the brim.

That's right, I said it!

Money-wasters clearly have no sense of shame.

"This is a symbol of where Michigan is going, this is a symbol of where Holland is going, and this is a symbol of where America's going," President Barack Obama told a crowd at the groundbreaking.

Cripes. I didn't realize the Zero had ESP!!

Socialists always pick losers.

Where all gypsies now

One of North America's largest mine producing lithium is just south on Las Vegas if I recall. Not that demo-rat Harry Reed would know.

That's only 34 failing or faltering, surely they'll get the 35th one right! Or the 135th... whatever...

cards, board games,
magazines, movies.
40 of us just sit there.

Obamas new Work First Welfare job creation.

Government is very poor at picking winners; but losers are very good at picking government.

Not to worry an internationally recognized expert on green technology and wind and solar power has just recently become available. After a hugely success full effort of changing Ontarios economy forever, and with extensive experience in government financing of green energy solutions, Dalton McGuinty will have that place running like a Swiss watch in no time.In fact within a few months batteries will be coming off the line at the same rate that Hershey make chocolate bars.

Government is very poor at picking winners; but losers are very good at picking government.

Excellant observation.

The never operated LG Chem MI battery plant was finally just sold to Johnson Controls.
It is a twin of the one operating way below capacity in Korea that supplies batteries for
the Dolt. Presumably all the acceptance testing has been completed and all the machinery
has been carefully cleaned again and adjusted pending going into mass production someday.

"Well lets just jail all the deniers", remember that famous drivel, or "An Inconvienient Ruth or was it Truth, oh yea it was a Ruth in the Oregon hotel room that brought that green leftie to the divorce courts, but that aside. This whole SCAM was to break capitalism, and this Marxist in power is doing just what he is told to. The puppet masters behind this behind, have their wealth, and now in true commie fashion they want to kick the ladder out from under anyone who is getting ahead that is not doing what they want, and reward anyone who is actively breaking the capitalist system. One more example, this was planned people, and the useful idiots are the ones that should be jailed, right David.
