Without an endless supply of other people's money, Leftists never seem to pay their bills.

About Kate
Why this blog?
Until this moment
I have been forced
to listen while media
and politicians alike
have told me
"what Canadians think".
In all that time they
never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio - "You don't speak for me."

Let that be a lession for other jurisdictions: "Cash up front" and a bonded note for the balance - otherwise pal, Town hall will not be returning your calls and the local police will arrest your ass for blocking traffic.
I CANT WAIT to see the Secret service cars and party bus with boots on them.
I was snickering because I just read about Fontana wasn't paying his bills in London, and when he did it was with two federal cheques, for his sons wedding..

Phil, although my family has not actively farmed for my lifetime I can assure you that it is no cake walk. I admire those who are willing to work longer and harder for less and less. That being said, I don't think that you will find a lot of support for supply management and other such programs on this site.
Springfield never should have agreed to be host. Was always more of a Shelbyville sort of thing.
The news reported this morning that O's campaign was about to spend a s**tload of money in Ohio attempting to brainwash the masses. If Springfield needs their money, they really should just sue the SOB. Get an injunction to enforce the payment and stop campaigning until they do.
This isn't an isolated case and I think ALL political parties need to address this.
King Obama intends to repay all his debts. When re-elected he'll print up new money with his picture on all the denominations including the new hundred million dollar bill that will be used to repay the national debt. (The Weimar Republic just wasn't thinking big enough).
Put a lien on the White House.
Springfield, a city of 60,000 in Ohio? How dumb is Obama?
It is alleged that Ohio, the ultimate swing state, actually picks the president. It has backed the winner in the last 11 elections.
Thus no intelligent presidential candidate would dare risk pissing off Ohioans. Texas sure. California definitely. But not Ohio - that's political suicide.
Gus- nevermind Phil, as you can see he is a moron. I think he is a closet NDP supporter.
"Gus- nevermind Phil, as you can see he is a moron. I think he is a closet NDP supporter."
I think he's out of the closet.
I don't mind phil's complaining as long as he keeps it reasonably civil. (OT, the federal government has to waste a ton of money every day just to keep our dollar close to par.)
Don't you mean, Kate, that even with other people's money Leftists never seem to pay their bills?
Obozo sure as hell has had his share of other people's money -- and still's raking it in -- but seems to like spending it on the links with Oahu chasers.
I don't think that you will find a lot of support for supply management and other such programs on this site.

No. But you'll find all kinds of support for the much more egregious cradle to grave, welfare bum farm subsidies on this terminally hypocritical site.
Obama raised $750 million in 2008 campaign, and has raised $837 million so far in 2012(http://elections.nytimes.com/2012/campaign-finance). This totals almost $1.6 billion, and they can't find, or feel somehow obligated to pay, $55K? That's what,.0000034% of the money raised and is sorta like you making $100K and stiffing your paper boy out of 34 cents. But Springfield is in the Illinois 18th Congressional District, which is a Republican territory (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_presidential_election_in_Illinois,_2008#By_congressional_district). So, why is is this "stiffing" a surprise: it fits with petty Chicagoland politics for the Obamaites to say "F#ck 'em".
I always thought it was odd no one made a big deal of the fact Obama's "Czars" where all Tax evaders. Yup every one.
Seeing how Obama blows through cash, let this be added to a long list of things that disgust but not shock you.
This sort of thing goes back a long way before socialism.
In the middle ages if the king felt some noble was getting a bit too independent and obnoxious,
he would drop in while passing by on a royal tour and stay, and stay, and stay. The "honoured
noble" would be driven deep into debt to keep the king in the style to which he was accustomed
and when the score had been settled the king would move on.
Plus ca change ....
