Thanks, Obama.

You too, Nancy.

Is he voted out yet?

Link appears to be broken, Kate.

Link seems broken

Tell me again how government spending equals growth?

Simple . . If you arena crony buddy of Big Government, you grow rich

four more years of Obamah and they won't even be in the top 10

The NO votes are up at 59.9 percent.

Better to spend 20 billion cleaning up a once ever 100 years storm,
than have the UN suck 10 trillion out of us for Globular Warming.

sorry,
wrong post.

Going "Forward!" by going Barackwards was always their plan of attack.

Ummmmmmm....read the top again, wally. Not enough coffee? :):)

Government spending does equal growth. Negative growth.

The US is exactly where Obama wants it.

This decline is a SYMPTOM of the same rot that brought Obama to the Whitehouse. The same rot that has thousands of productive acres of land blighted by windmills and the same rot that has destroyed a once excellent educational system.

"The US is exactly where Obama wants it."

I don't think it's quite where Obama wants it yet, Osumashi .

Mugs, if so, the US is really screwed.

Who knew that more government regulation and higher tax rates would slow down an economy? There is an urgent need for rhetorical and sarcastic fonts.

I think the root of the problem is the general lack of knowledge of history. I was never taught in school about the tulip craze that ended Holland's economic dominance. I was mis-taught that FDR ended the Great Depression when in fact his policies prolonged and deepened it.

The majority of US voters have not heard of Zimbabwe's experience with hyperinflation which was in the last decade or the Weimar republic currency collapse in the 1920s, when the German government printed billions of marks to pay off the debt from WWI. They are unaware that the Federal Reserve is buying Treasury Bonds to keep the government financed while the Treasury is printing money that is backed only by 'the full faith' of the US government.

Economic reality is about to hit the US in the face with a shovel. It won't be pretty and the tragedy is that anyone with a solid knowledge of history could have predicted the outcome of the policies of the past 30 years. The Gods of The Copybook Headings are coming to call.

Barry is having success. Of course, he won't publicly say that, as a crypto-communist.

Was that a link? It didn't work. Anyway some day (soon?) it will be obvious to all involved that lots of money doesn't mean lots of wealth. Somewhere in my collection of interesting stuff I have a banknote worth 50 Million Marks, overprinted in the early 1920's. I understand it was purchased as a souvenir for the cost of a 10 cent stamp.

While the US is culpable, Canada isn't that far behind. In the 1960's I used to buy lunches, cigarettes, and gasoline for ten dollars a week. My wallet contained ones and twos. In the 1980's I needed fifty dollars a week for similar expenses, and now, even though I quit smoking, $200 a week barely makes the grade, and my wallet contains twenties and fifties.

I would wager that given a stint with Trudeau II as PM, $500 per week won't be enough.

So much for that "you're better of now than you were four years ago" thing.

"The US is exactly where Obama wants it."

I think Obama (and his handlers) must be surprised at how much destruction they were able bring on the US in 4 short years, how easy it was...

and how easy it will be to push this much further in the next 4 years

who knew white liberals and their media were that eager to destroy everything ?

Even I am surprised by this...

Four more years of the Muslim Marxist will do in the USA. That it happened this fast does not surprise me in the least. It took the soviets only 2 years to destroy the whole eastern European economy with dictatorship. You have Nations full of authoritarians. Just waiting to be a petty duke.
When your controlling it all from the inside. With a known group who are corrupt from a rotten city, this is inevitable.
After all as someone pointed out Zimbabwe is dead. It took them only 5 years to go from a lifespan of 67 to 35 now.
From feeding a continent, to starvation using racist policies.

Canadian Friend, don't be surprised at the speed. It has taken 99 years to reach this point and we are simply watching the death throes of a very bad experiment gone horribly wrong. It's called the Federal Reserve and fiat money.

Had the US kept the gold standard we would not be facing the biggest depression ever.

Posted by: Osumashi Kinyobe at October 30, 2012 6:44 PM…. is exactly right.

Not a guess, not a wayward thought.

This is what the current president's aim is. If you followed his pronouncements since before he became the president. This is his path. He is safe for the rest of his life, what others need is not his interest.

If, by now, people don’t know that socialism, fascism, communism are failed concepts, there will be time to pay. If they elect the same guy, the pay up will be current very soon.

The guy is essentially running a campaign on raising taxes OPENLY and is only what 3-4 points behind Romney. Unbelievable. Mind you Canada only narrowly defeated a guy who could barely speak english enough to answer "If you were Prime Minister now, what would you have done...".

Nearly third world, Obamba only needs another term to finish.

A Bananna Republic with plenty of disposable cell phones, nice.
