The Birds Always Sing After The Storm

The curious case of Golden, an incurious tale of the fall of Rod Blagojevich;

But at the press conference announcing Blagojevich’s “political corruption crime spree,” Fitzgerald expressed no desire to track down the source of the leak that had just compromised the biggest case of his career. This was a curious reaction by the prosecutor who had previously become a household name by jailing New York Times reporter Judith Miller for 85 days when she refused to reveal sources Fitzgerald already knew about in the Valerie Plame affair.

Amazing how Barry seems to get away with it. After watching Watergate and Contra I would have figured this alone would have done him in...

And now, in Canada, we have our own dirty laundry, ...............eh?

London Ontario Mayor, Joe Fontana, a former cabinet Minister in Liberal Paul Martin's regime is now being investigated by the RCMP.

Fetters and handcuffs may yet be the Chretien /Martin Librano era (adscam?) legacy for former Cabinet ministers.

At first,.. Alfono ........ now Joe?

'incurious' - wasn't that one of the major criticisms of Bush?

Anyhow, the pitchfork crowd really should show up on the doorstep of the 'journalists'. Most of today's 'journalists' seem to be nasty, devious, disgusting people.

The thing that bothers me about the Blagojevich trial was that he was simply practicing business as usual. Anyone who believes that any political appointment goes to the best candidate and not the best connected candidate is a damn fool. I suspect every single appointment made by Obama has a payback in terms of prior or future support of a political or financial nature. And they send Blagojevich to jail for it? His crime was simply being an a$$hole, not not being a criminal.

It will be interesting to see if Blagojevich is one of the recipients of a presidential pardon when Obozo leaves office. That would be strong evidence that Obozo was involved in criminal activity as well. Of course, it would be justified in some other way.

The key to all of this is Fitzgerald.
He knows everything and pretends he knows nothing.
He was the hatchet man to push through the mantra.
They KNOW what lies beneath. They intend we never find out. Fitzgerald is key to that.
Just like he was the key in the Black case.
And in the Plame phoney affair.
All of Fitz's cases are based on a bogus premise.
In Black's case, behind all the prosecution sat a traitor and a raider. They both made out like bandits while Black went to jail.
Obama et al made out like bandits while Blago went to jail.
Plame and hubby, Colin Powell et al made out like bandits while Libby got toasted and roasted.

Being a lifelong Illinois resident, where even the republicans are democrats, I can tell you that Blago was simply the only one standing when the music stopped.
