Take Me, Obama

"The audience completely failed to cheer or applaud when Jon Stewart announced that Obama was the guest on 'The Daily Show'."

Regan vs Carter II. Except Mittens is no Regan and Barry is no Carter. Say what you want about the peanut farmer, he walked his talk.

He walked his talk alright. Right off a cliff.

Silence, the sound of impending disaster?

Unemployed young people should be well rested enough and have the energy to cheer their President like wild!

What the hell is wrong with them? Obama is likely to be very disappointed in that demographic letting him down, ingrates.

Now the novelty has worn off, people have discovered presidents of all sorts aren't really that interesting. I'm glad obozo was the first to be dumb enough to wear out his welcome.

He came down from Mount Olympus and walked among the mortals too often, over exposed in other words.

Or maybe Stewart's audience is starting to figure out that the president of the most powerful country in the world should be looking after things like national security and Libya and such instead of yukking it up on pop culture entertainment shows, especially when he's just not very entertaining.
If it wasn't for his title, would he even make the 'B' list?
Basically he's president Kardashian, but without the nice rack.
In a couple of years he will be competing with the cast of Jersey Shore for spots on Hollywood Squares.

When Romney didn't actually eat a live puppy during the first debate Stewart's' audience might have begun to realize they had been lied to by Obama.

Dare I hope?

Phantom - "Barry is no Carter."

That's not even damning with faint praise.

The love, it is gone.

Oh well.

Reminds me of the Simpsons episode when Bart gets famous with the "I didn't do it" catch phrase...

W...T...F...?

Apparently the reason for no applause was, the crowd was completely mesmerized watching Hillary maneuver the lights above, in the studio, on her broomstick.

Stan: "Or maybe Stewart's audience is starting to figure out that the president of the most powerful country in the world should be looking after things like national security and Libya and such instead of yukking it up on pop culture entertainment shows, " This is SO true. Every time I hear about Obama on another of these silly talk shows, I ask myself how does he even had time for this -- well I guess the answer is, he is not the on really running things. Regardless -- it looks bad.

There is a very simple explaination.
The guy in the sound booth forgot to cue the laugh track and the guy operating the "cheer" sign was waiting for the laugh track to light up the sign.
Pavlov's dog (obamobots) will only do their tricks when someone rings the bell.
