"Take Me, Obama"

The fifth stage is "the turn";

....only four years ago, Obama was widely advertised throughout the media as the half-breed Alpha, the Fresh Prince of Punahou, the suave dark lover extraordinaire with the mellifluous voice who featured in the turgid, illicit sex fantasies of SWPL-women from coast to coast. He was supposed to be the older, political version of the hip black man with the halfro who always has a white girlfriend in the TV commercials when he isn't occupied spending his days as the fifth wheel in every group of otherwise white male friends.

I think it's more a factor of people waking up finally because of a combination of the press no longer being able to define Romney when he's seen without editing and bias at the debates along with people adding up Obama's failure to lead on the debt, financial crisis, and foreign policy.

The fact that Obama has been more susceptible to cronyism than Bush's administration.

These are reasons that many of my independent friends who voted Obama as more a protest against Washington insiders have switch to Romney. In their words Obama has failed, now it's time for the other guy who by the way has credentials....

The republicans do have to watch it if they happen to get Romney elected. If he doesn't follow through with getting necessary changes made by congress in terms of the debt, regulations etc they will also suffer the same fate.

Most of these people are also fed up with the abortion debate, don't care about gay marriage and don't care if gay people marry etc. The republicans turn many of these people off and are fighting uphill against that perception.

Both Romney and Ryan are hitting it on the head. Obama doesn't have a PLAN and do you want another 4 years of what you just had.

When times get tough people become more risk adverse. How many times have you seen people say Romney is a business man he will know how to run things.

If Romney wins he will get support from a fair group of voters who philosophically agree with Obama more than him. To some extent the same thing happened for Harper. The challenge is the conservative message has to be reinforced during their terms.

The "Urkel" comparison is interesting, probably won't receive much play as it probably resonates within the progressive "rascist guilt syndrome".

langmann @ 9:56 I am not sure about the abortion aspect of not caring by we masses, I find it can bring sparks to many conversations.

However after decades of steady drip by drip cohersion of the militant Transgender(LGBT),I think the pendulem is starting to swing back to an even level with the latest decision of the Alberta Appeals Court. Transgender reality whether hormonal or physical atributes should become a more acceptable topic for a family's acknowledgement and acceptance.

Continuing pressure tactics by the militants will start to become counterproductive IMHO. Cheers;

Obama as a grown up Steve Urkel, hilarious and beleivable.I can almost hear him say "did I do that" when asked about the economy and unemployment.

Last night on O Reilly leftard radio host Leslie Marshall referred to Obama as America's first half-black President.

This thing is so over...

Let us hope that the article is correct. Gonad vote + dependency vote is hard to overcome. Let us hope that Romney "reads" as a nice, manly man (which he seems to be).
As for Obama, even Michelle patently can't stand him.

Another thing is that Romney has an attractive wife, and my marketing friend tells me that that helps with women as well as with men.

Obama only looked appealing to people who didn't care enough to know what the rest of us knew in 2008, that Obama was a Red Diaper baby who was clinging bitterly to his racist world view and his Little Red Book.
He wasn't just different because of his melanin content or strange name, he was as un-American as his mentors Bill Ayers and Frank Marshall Davis.

many of my independent friends who voted Obama as more a protest against Washington insiders have switch to Romney

What they voted for was radical change because they're radicals and Obama was promising Hope and Change.
Switch to Romney?
I thought the GOP was "stupid" at the convention for dissing your drama Queen cult hero Ron Paul, so the Libertines were gonna vote Gary Johnson or organize a write-in RP protest.
Sounds like a climb down so you don't look too outrageously stupid when R&R wins in a landslide.
There really is no deodorant like the smell of success.

The republicans do have to watch it if they happen to get Romney elected. If he doesn't follow through with getting necessary changes made by congress in terms of the debt, regulations etc they will also suffer the same fate.

Geeze, you sound like a frikki'n Quebecer with your threats.
You do realize that no real changes will occur if the Repubs don't take the U.S. Senate, yes?
Harry Reid(D) is the one who has been preventing the Republican Congress from getting their budget voted in the Democrat Senate.

I know you Libertine radicals want a benevolent dictator who'll force the unpopular Libertine agenda down the throats of the majority, but don't expect President Romney to do end-runs around the Constitution the way Obama has been doing these past 4 years.

People are noticing that the Mittster is nothing like the scary strawman the MSM created and pushed. It's obvious to them now that they've been cynically manipulated by their "Trusted News Source", and they don't like it. They feel like idiots, and will take it out on Obie.

Perhaps even liberals don't like being kicked around and lied to as a steady diet.

I know some of them seem to like it, but over weeks and months the bruising probably gets bone deep. And there's the being broke part, that's got to hurt.

Just saw this on CNN. I'm in NYC so I'm on a mobile......here's the gist of the story........Washington (CNN) -- The number of harassment and discrimination complaints by congressional employees rose sharply over the past five years, according to a new report.

a) wasn't Urkel supposed to be smart?

b) not to be too whiny I hope, but am I the only one who's a little sick of all this reducing every man on the planet to either an Alpha or a Beta? I'm not saying the concept doesn't have its applications, but I suspect human nature might be a tad more complicated overall.

No.

[snarl, spit!]

The alpha/beta thing is rapidly climbing my despize list, and may soon replace "team player" at the top. Its already passed "personality type A/type b" with a bullet.

I friggin' hate it when bad psych theory gets popularized. People use it instead of thinking about what they are trying to say.

Phantom has had it with people calling him a "team player" :-)

Who said Obama was EVER an alpha male?

Who said all women think about contraception and abortion all day?

Romney and Ryan look like they belong in the White House and have plans that they actually talk about. That will get the thinking women going.

And now, Paul Ryan:

"Who said Obama was EVER an alpha male?"

Maybe a few who were a bit light in the loafers....but those in the know, style the O as the bitch.....not the butch...

"Who said Obama was EVER an alpha male?"

You nailed it right there. Game, set and match.

Oz - thanks for that. I have friends who are not libertarians strangely enough. I am explaining to you their thinking not mine. Obama won independents based on change and now to them he isn't much different from Bush they're ready to switch again.

Of course I understand the Senate. Somehow Romney is going o have to work with what appears to be still a Dem majority. If he doesn't get some democrats to work on fixing the problems then Romney isn't going to look much better than Obama to independent voters. Obama couldn't get that done something which stands out to them but at least Obama had a few years to pass some of his crap which strangely enough makes him look successful to them.

As to me I do not think a benevolent dictator exists. I do think Ron Paul has a better conscience then most politicians and likely has the balls to veto idiotic republican and democrat spending.... Which someone has to do.

Obama was the media's Alpha pet

More like employers starting every interview by asking if you're a team player. They always seemed shocked when I said "no." Best reason for self employment, idiot women in HR departments who make hiring decisions by ticking off boxes on a form.

I'm a "team player" like Barry is an "alpha male". All he does is walk around with his face in the air like Il Duce. It was a better look on Mussolini, you ask me. At least Benito made the damn trains run on time.

langmann-any time, really.
It's strange to think you have friends.
Ron Paul is done, thankfully. His conscience is moot, but as Kate says, "Scratch a Leftist, find an anti-semite." No doubt all their consciences are as smooth as a new born's a55.

Speaking of idiotic Republican spending, now that Ron "the King of Earmarks" Paul is retiring, I wonder who will be wearing his tarnished old mantle?

obama as will smith in fresh prince? no.
more like david hampton in six degrees of separation...
