Funny. I think Steyn managed to get almost every Muppet character of note into the column. I am not so sure that Sesame Street would survive without taxpayer money. I enjoyed watching it as a kid but my monsters had/have no interest in it (except the Elmo show - which I refused to allow because the voice drives me nuts). Like so many other government endeavors, the show has become stale and overrun with fashionable political messages instead being customer-driven and entertaining.

BTW, if Steyn was a Muppet he'd have to be Fozzi Bear, the standup comedian and singer. The is even a bit of a physical resemblance. Does Mark own a Pork Pie hat? Wocka Wocka
