In Ohio, people who request absentee ballots, are marked by party affiliation based on previous declarations. Ace of Spades has a post on the details of the states requests.
This isn't a poll. This is people, previously declared, asking for ballots.
For the 3000' view, see the Washinton Examiner Secrets blog.
University of Dayton Professor Larry Schweikart told American Majority Action President Ned Ryun that the GOP gains favor Romney. "Although it is early, we will soon be at a point where--assuming Republicans vote for Romney--the Democrats will have to overwhelmingly win all the remaining early voting just to be even on November 6. But, given Ohio's voting history, if the numbers are even close after early voting, Obama will lose, and possibly lose big."
The above the 49th view? Landslide. It's still the 3rd quarter, though, and as a Rider die-hard, I know only too well that no lead is safe, so as the Prof says, "Don't get cocky, kid."

As a canadian with a below the 49th view, i have this sense of the same thing. Cautiously optimistic, it really feels to me like all the polls and pundits are missing this silent undercurrent of protest vote and recognition that the past 4 years are a boondoggle that is going to tip things almost across the board. Wishful thinking perhaps, and partially based on local anecdotal evidence. However, many of the anecdotal pieces are former Obama supporters who are switching and are fairly reluctant to publicize that they consider themselves to have made a gigantic mistake in 08.
Here's hopin'....
The REAL question is how rampant is the corruption in the electoral process? Its level is clear in Pennsylvania, where that judge recently gave them carte blanche. How many OTHER states are in a similar situation? And how many have failed to even PRETEND to address the treason?
The stench is overwhelming.
Men, I work in the bluest of blue areas here on the banks of Mordor. in 35 years I have never - repeat never seen Republican yard and street signs in the quantity and dispersion I see now. And this ares is fed from the blood of the producers - when the ticks are pissed at the Host, that's trouble.
Even my associates (all but two)who praised the coronation of Our Dear Leader (pbuh)*, have removed their cult stickers from their cars. I am hopeful that the pendulum has begun it's swing back to center. My heart tells me that this will be a memorable a$$-whuppin.
* done for my good friends at the IRS, who appear to be searching for disparaging words about Our Dear Leader, since they appear to have refused the FOIA requests about contacts with the Palace - they would never do the king's bidding against rivals, would they?
I'm in MI, an ostensibly blue state these days, with flirtations as a battleground. I would say I'm seeing about the same number of Romney/Ryan signs as there were repub signs in 08, BUT i have not seen ANY Obama signs at all. Strange.
The enemy is all around, it is called the media that go to work for the leftwing party. The media used to report the news, now they try to make it like the evil dude in a James Bond show. To have people like Matthews, our CBC and we all know the rest of them, spewing 24/7 about how their legs tingle and how great Justins hair is, all while slagging the real leaders like "Harper" as they love to address him as, and "Romney's so far behind", statements like that, the media hope sways the vote. Scoop you lefties in the media have missed, is that we don't believe your lies and cheerleading for the lefties, give it up and just report the news.
The Silent Majority in America are pissed.
Joe(hairPlugs) Biden has to be the stupidest/dumbest/ politician ever-
Mentioned raising 1 trillion in new taxes on the rich which we all know will trickle down to us stupid lower class peons.
I would have voted Romney early but am afraid of the clowns in my NC county that have been caught with their hands in the absentee ballot box.
Our local Democrat election official has served 5 years of a 15 year voter fraud conviction,
(filling out/signing absentee ballots for nursing home patients.)
Wonder why I still don't trust them?
Coming into the last Alberta election, I was optimistic looking at the polls and talking with friends. Finally, someone with the guts to make some real changes. You know how that ended up.
If the election is a landslide in favour of Romney(I hope), this may be the end of the MSM for a lot of people down in the states. The MSM will not be able to hide their lack of impartiality and people will not trust them anymore. Anyone else see this happening?
Just returned from a nice little holiday in Bozeman, Mt. Always have my political ears on;
- little old lady told me she haded voted Obama last time but didn't think she would vote this election. They're all the same!
- Obama's proposed cuts to the military has people scared not just for security but also the spending the military provides. Job losses!
- Not in Bozeman but my friend in Titusville is very upset with Nasa cutbacks which have reallt hit that area.
The debates probably don't make much dif. The bottom line that Obama cannot esacpe is that the real unemploment is proably around 15% no matter what they try and tell people. The people at street level aren't fooled.
All signs fail in a drought....
Election fraud is still a big factor....including electronic voting machines...
IMHO the debate just resulted in a gust of wind to temporarily sweep away the media fog to reveal both candidates as to what they really are....
Given the type of folks who make up the democratic party.......I would keep a close eye on the proceedings, as I'm sure some "al sharpton" types or others are already teaching the 47% how to vote twice.
Or more.
As a current resident of NE Ohio (Cleveland/Akron) I can say that I see OVERWHELMINGLY more Romney/Ryan signs and bumper stickers than Obama/Biden.
No surprise reading this.
I am in Minneapolis, and there has been a rash of Romney/Ryan bumper stickers lately. I bet I see 10-12 a day on the commute downtown. Even saw one on a Prius!
Thanks for the list Lance, made my day.
Right before a meeting this morning was talking to a co-worker about the debate, didn't realize one of the upper-echelon faculty overheard us. He steps in says the debate was civil, both were clear and precise on their arguments and he called it a draw. I had to bite my tongue, wanted to ask him right there in front of God and the whole crowd which debate he watched, cause it damn sure wasn't the one I watched. On a side note, gota be carefull of freedom of speech working for the Academia World, especially with 1 year and ten months till retirement.
Coming into the last Alberta election[SNIP] You know how that ended up.

I'll bet you and all the other Leftist dumbasses who bring that up haven't a clue as to why it happened.
That said, you must also think there is a Democrat Republican party in the U.S.A. that voters will confuse with the real Republican party in addition to wanting to vote for the status quo because they all have it sooo good that they're afraid to rock the boat.
sasquatch;
Agree totally. The GOP will have to be on top of all that. I have done enough scrutineering in BC to think we have pretty good results. I don't put anything past those who want power more than anything else.
I equate the Demos with our Libel party. They stole millions $ outright and defrauded millions $ through their fake foundations so why expect free elections?
