Why this blog?
Until this moment
I have been forced
to listen while media
and politicians alike
have told me
"what Canadians think".
In all that time they
never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio - "You don't speak for me."

@HRClinton you stood next to Chris Stevens' casket and blamed it on a YouTube video. Video maker is in jail. What shall we do with you now?
[Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Monday tried to douse a political firestorm over the deadly assault on a U.S. diplomatic mission in Libya, saying she's responsible for the security of American diplomatic outposts.]

Just in time for Tuesday's debate.
Robert, will be be live-blogging the debate tomorrow (today, technically, in these parts)? I need to plan what I jokingly refer to as my life.
My nightmare scenario:-McGuinty goes to federal Liberal leader....Rae to Ont.Liberal leader.
My commnet on CBC.Ca. about 3 minutes ago. (21:40 CST)
"I guess that people were getting lonely for the Trudeau era. The Canadian forces on the streets of Montreal, 19% mortage interest, 15% inflation, the threat of separation, and trudeau`s finger aimed at Saskatchewan farmers in Saskatoon.
Fuddle Duddle."
It's being bandied about that McGuinty will run for the leadership.
I don't think he quit just so he could do some strange political dance. There are skeletons somewhere....
IAFT! An acronym which will escape only those who were his fans.
In the NW of SK tonight, read the Star Phoenix with supper... what a bunch of leftist drivel.
I have not read through that paper in a long time, likely won't for a while more.
Black Mamba, thanks for reminding me! I just scheduled to appear an open thread for Tuesday's debate. It will appear 15 minutes before the event begins.
I'm scheduled to attend a technical forum but may cancel it to watch the fireworks spectacle instead! :-)
One thought from the VP debate. Biden said he agreed with the Catholic church position that life begins at conception, however, he didn't feel he could 'impose' his beliefs on others.
Hmm... Good thing the average American, and Canadian for that matter didn't have that belief about not imposing our beliefs on, say, WWII Germany and Japan...
If McGuinty enters the race (and he will) it is a clear indication that Libs themselves see Justin as a lightweight. On the one had, this is a sensible perspective. On the other hand it does introduce the possibility that Conservatives will have a more formidable opponent in the next election than Justin.
Paul Ryan girl. My new favourite songstress.

Given his dismal track record in Ontario, McGuinty is NOT a "formidable opponent". Stephen Harper should be able to mop the floor with him.
Indeed, McGimpy has plenty of skeletons in many closets. Essentially, he has resigned in disgrace, and most premiers disappear for a long time, under those circumstances (good riddance!)
Cannon fodder, much like Boob Rae. No matter who the Fibs put out there, PMSH will toy with them, including the Shiny Pony, he of the drama teaching repertoire.
Thank GOD we still have Allison McGuinty here in Alberta to show us the way!
Great video, Ken! It'll run Tuesday afternoon in its own posting.
Arlen Specter is dead, and hardly anybody seemed to notice.
It was mentioned so briefly and so infrequently, I had to Google it to make sure I didn't imagine seeing it this morning.
"Not proved" - the most ridiculous and cowardly vote I have ever heard cast on the Senate floor, and he thought he was being clever, brave, and just.
It's usually impolite to speak ill of the dead, but Arlen was a crackpot. I'm sorry for his passing, but I'm glad he has descended into obscurity.
More proof the vegetative state is over diagnosed for seemingly unresponsive patients.

Ulyanov Descends Into Oblivion.
"The post-Communist government has since undergone an increasingly critical evaluation of its state history."
"The last remaining Lenin statue in Ulan Bator is hoisted away."
...-
"Goodbye Lenin
Abandoning the one-party communist state system in 1990, the now-democratic Mongolia scrapped the last standing statue of Vladimir I. Lenin in the capital city of Ulan Bator on October 14. From 1924 to 1992, Mongolia (then the Mongolian People's Republic) pursued Marxist-Leninist socialism through close ties to the former Soviet Union. The post-Communist government has since undergone an increasingly critical evaluation of its state history. The statue has been standing in Ulan Bator for 58 years, and will be auctioned off at a starting price of 400,000 togrik (US$ 287)."

The Hildabeast says he department is responsible for the lack of security.
Doesn't explain the four weeks of lying and cover ups designed to protect BamBam's foreign policy claims of devastating Terrorists networks.
McQuinty will always be remembered for turning Ontario into a "Have Not" province. Then there are those inconveniant scandals such as Ehealth, Orang, Caledonia and now the odd moving of gas plants to shore up liberal support in 2 ridings = $700 million.
The West can no longer afford Ontario nor Quebec.
Sure, McGuinty has resigned - why not? He's placed the province in a state of ruin, past, present and future included. He takes no responsibility for his disastrous decisions, so why would he feel he has a mess to clean up? I can only surmise that there's an even bigger scandal on its way. And that he already has a lucrative position open for him elsewhere.
I wonder what liberal sacrificial schmuck will assume the reins?
C. P Champion in the Vol 2, Number 1, spring and summer issue of The Dorchester Review discusses Canada's eminent history professors and writers.
No wonder so many in our society are communists or Marxists, or deluded socialists at best.

Goodbye to Volvo.
Volvo: "*China-owned company".
H/T Mao Stlong* Lepolt.
...-
"Sweden's Volvo to halt production as demand dips"
" Carmaker Volvo has announced it will have to halt production for a week. The China-owned company has experienced infighting over strategic issues at management level and has suffered because of waning demand in Europe.
Sweden-based automaker Volvo announced on Monday that it would have to temporarily stop production at its main facility in Torslanda in the west of the Scandinavian country.
The company said the plant would see a week-long stoppage from October 29 to November 2. The move came on the back of an October 1 decision to reduce the number of vehicles produced daily at the Torslanda plant from 57 cars to 50 cars per hour.
Management said the measures were a direct consequence of drastically dropping demand across Europe as much of the continent was still in the grips of a protracted debt crisis."

*Rae's uncle, c/o Red China.
McGuinty resigned because his minority Gov't. was not going to get either opposition party to support his so-called "cost-cutting measures" through. The rat did not resign his seat and also porogued the Leg. so no committee meetings - for example the fiasco over the moving of 2 power plants to secure Lib. votes.
See, I actually think that "knuckleheads" (along with career criminals, illegal immigrants, illiterates, children, non-functioning drug addicts, committed mental patients and people who can't name the state they're living in) shouldn't be encouraged to vote.
And that's only partly because I know who they vote for.
XL Foods / Lakeside Packers. ... Is the Canadian Food Inspection Agency union angry about their union member funding cuts?
"The XL Foods recall is now the largest in the history of Canada and the U.S., and if my number ends up being correct, the recall is nearly TWICE as large as any other, with the LOWEST illness ratio among all the comparisons I did.
We know that there were only ever five days of concern. Five days, and 15 illnesses in a country that sees 440 every year, and that’s enough to close the doors on our biggest plant. This is madness.
It seems as though the E. coli crisis may have been seized upon by the union to make a point about funding cuts.
This plant is in big, big trouble. If it doesn’t get relisted, I can’t see XL being able to offload it to anyone else.
But the future of that plant is still at stake and regardless of anyone’s personal feelings about packers, or Nilssons, or globalism – we need to guard against an agency whose own union president says it’s incapable and unwilling to do its job."
Sheri Monk, asks some questions...

Humane Society of the US / Vancouver Humane Society targets the hunting shows ... Next year, no hunting shows:
"Last week it was learned that Global TV, owned by Shaw Media, has cancelled all of its hunting programming after this season. While using the word “all” may convey there was a lot of hunting programs on the network, such was not the case. There were three shows – Canada in the Rough, The Canadian Tradition and Angler & Hunter Television. Global was the only network carrying the only Canadian hunting shows, and soon they will be gone.
The Vancouver Humane Society is credited as being one of the more radical animals rights organizations in Canada, often seen as posturing itself after the Humane Society of the United States, a national activist organization which actually has very little to do with sheltering homeless pets."

Bob Rae praising McGuinty. Two losers that see eye to eye in all subjects with the same dismal track record. Neither competent to run a Hot dog stand. That's rich.
In contrast to G&M and Rae, a more down to earth assessment of McGuinty, from the Windsor Star (Windsor,ON experiencing high unemployment)

Volvo lost all its market share to the Toyota Prius as the leftist cultmobile. Subarau sales are likely also in the tank.
