#ObamaDebateExcuses result in instant classics. Gold, Jerry, gold

What do you get with a coronation and a sycophantic fourth estate? Last nights curb-stomp.

Canadian media, beware.

Don't miss THIS classic.... From AlGore hisself....

DJ, I saw that clip, and concluded that Alphonse is seriously retarded. No for further entertainment, lets wait till the Biden-Ryan debates take place,... that ones like waiting for Christmas morning.

"Couldn't concentrate because Chris Matthew kept sexting me"

Brilliant. Just brilliant.

Now we have an idea on how the debate would go with PMSH and Justin...substance versus wishful thinking.

Yes we can!!!

After watching last nights performance, now I'm hoping that the CBC continues it's protection of Justine.

In a debate between PMSH & Justin, I'm wondering if Justin would actually be able to bury his inner Drama Queen long enough to get through it?

I think the best tweet came from Michael Moore of all people.
"If Romney keeps this up Obama is going to vote for him"

For anyone that enjoys a good Chris Tingles melt-down, this is excellent.

Ah, the excuses. Al Gore and his elevation theory and Michael Moore pointing the finger at John Kerry. They must have driven themselves crazy trying to find a way to blame George Bush. Somewhere in Texas, George must be smiling.

Romney looked pretty good, and Obama became quite annoying with his constant pounding on "five trillion plus two more trillion for the militar-ah", until Romney,in exasperation, said," no matter how many times you say it,it still isn't the truth",or words to that effect.

This MAY help Romney to overcome the MSM's love for their leg-tingling poser.

Last night voters had a chance to see Obama and Romney side by side.

And they say, "Wait a minute, that's not how the MSM has been portraying these two men!"

Well said lance, well said indeed.

The media have only themselves to blame. In many ways it was a pathetic scene.

Clint Eastwood’s empty chair vindicated.

In short, Obambi failed to ‘show up’. When ‘leftocracy’ pundits like MSNBC Chris “tingle up my leg” Matthews are wailing that their guy bombed; you know the Obama-Nation(tm) is having a bad hair day.

Chris Matthews’ Epic Meltdown Over Obama Performance: ‘What Was He Doing Tonight?’

Analysis: After the Romney thrashing, can Obama pick himself up?

http://www.canada.com/Analysis+After+Romney+thrashing+Obama+pick+himself/7343831/story.html#ixzz28LhSjc4S

“Mitt Romney came out of his corner on Wednesday’s presidential debate like a hungry prize fighter and delivered a paralyzing beating on U.S. President Barack Obama that both he and the American public will long remember.”

The only thing worse that could have have happened to the Obama-Nation(tm) is having his wife Michelle box his ears and lead him off the stage…and then take his golf balls away.

Beware of a Castro loving Canadian media peddling shiny ponies.

An online poll in the useless Globe and Mail has 42% of those who watched the debate voting that Obama won or that it was too close to call.

Each day I become more and more convinced that half the population is truly stupid.

TJ

1/2, only haff the population, guess math is difficult for you!!!!

it was epic..and monumental

watching the leader of our country, and the leader of the free world

..make a total asshat out of himself

This wasn't just a shellacking of the one, this was a complete destruction of the MSM. Anyone with half a brain watching last night is looking at the MSM completely differently this morning. You watch Fox News viewership will continue to sky rocket while the other guys continue to lose. They've been exposed for the frauds they are. The second debate will have a record number of people watching.

This priceless picture at blog Powerline says it all. Afterwards, a smiling, relaxed Romney gathering his podium notes, while Michelle obama gives him a if-looks-could-kill look and Obama just looks ass-whipped.

BTW 65 million viewers

Afterwards, a smiling, relaxed Romney gathering his podium notes . . .

I don't know if anyone here noticed, but Obama walked off and then sent a guy back to collect his.

After that, I'm REALLY looking forward to the VP debate!

The lesson for the Canadian MSM as it relates to Trudeau is made by Victor Davis Hanson: http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/329372/bad-night-obama-victor-davis-hanson

"For so long Barack Obama has assumed that he will not face cross-examination from the media that he simply has little grasp of policy details, and in exasperation seems to look around for the accustomed helpful media crutch. But there is no such subsidy in a one-on-one debate, and only now it becomes clear just how the media for the last six years have enfeebled their favorite."

People wonder why Harper continued to get stronger and eventually get a majority even though the attacks against him by the media party grew ever more vociferous. Part of it, as VDH identifies, is media incompetence due to political favouritism. Media scrutiny and bias has helped to hone the CPC and its leadership. Media favouritism and softball "analysis" have weakened the Dips and the Libs.

Oh the irony.

Ironic..............it was Romney that showed Obama the "Chicago way" instead of the other way around. Heh. :D

Dave in Pa @1:43 - her waist is still located 1/2 a cm below her boobs I see.

I'm very glad this debate apparently went well. (I havent seen it yet, although it's up now: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkrwUU_YApE ) I hope those annoying swing voters are paying attention.

Larqs @12:40 - I suspect Moore would be a lot happier (or whatever passes for happy with him) with a republican in office. It'll give him something to yammer about.

Afterwards, Lennox Lewis can fistfight Bill Maher! I expect the effect will be similar.

BamBam: "Bo ate my teleprompter"

Bo:"BamBam gave me that evil hungry eye last night"

I don't know if anyone here noticed, but Obama walked off and then sent a guy back to collect his.

Uh, yeah..........he left them because he won't be needing them anymore, LOL.

From today's New York Times:

"Unhelpful Debate Had Little Clarity"

and

"Do Debates Really Matter?"

It must be hard to breathe with their head stuck so far up Obozo's a$$...

minuteman's wife "I'm wondering if Justin would actually be able to bury his inner Drama Queen long enough to get through it?"

I used to think Justin was comfortable with his sexuality and then the bugger got married.

Obama roted present!

Obama wasn't concentrating because it was his 20th anniversary of his marriage to Michelle, and he was contemplating the terrific sex he was going to enjoy later that night!

And it was really poor of Romney to out-debate the guy with his wife watching AND it being their wedding anniversary!

For a nicer, kinder, more considerate America, vote Obama. gag.

The key thing is that Obama has never, probably in his entire life, had to move out of the imaginary realm, the realm of pure rhetoric, and into the world of reality. Hard facts. He doesn't function in the real world.

His entire life has been spent in the world of words, and even the results of his words, have never, in any kinetic law of motion, reacted back to him. All he does is SPEAK. Preach, pontificate, admonish - in generalities and abstract emotional images of the Perfect Future.

The 2008 election debates weren't about facts; they were about ideals, imaginary realms - and that's where Obama, as the King of Fairy Tales, shines.

This is the first time he's had to function as someone, not just as the Sender of Words, but as responsible for the specific actions that resulted from those specific Words. Never, in his life as the editor of the Harvard Law Review, as a lecturer, as a community organizer, as a member of Senate, had Obama moved outside of the cocoon bubble of pure words.

He himself has no interest in the real world of actions. His only focus is to emotionally manipulate people into a state of adulation.

And here is Romney who is filled with data and facts about the real world that has resulted from the Words of Obama...and Obama can't handle it. As far as he is concerned, any problems, he'll blame on Bush, the tsunami, the EU, the weather or, heh, racism.

It's not only the MSM that has allowed Obama to get away with a life lived in an imaginary world. He has removed himself from Congress, ignoring their rebukes and votes. He has removed himself from any criticism, defining it as partisan, or due to ignorance, bigotry or racism. He's intellectually unreachable.

Now, what will his DNC gang do? What will they do in the next few days to try to implode the debates? Will they have a 'appeal to pity' tactic, will someone in the family fall ill?

It wasn't only Michelle Obama who was sitting out front last night watching him; his 'other Mother', Valerie Jarett was there as well. What will they do?

If they realize, and surely they must, that Obama cannot debate about issues in the real world, then, how will they set up the next debates?

Now that Romney clearly won the debate and will likely see a bounce in his numbers, look for Kate and other SDA enthusiasts to suddenly start seeing validity in the polls again.

Obama now says he wasn't debating the "real" Romney! Is BHO so desperate that he has Joe Biden writing his speeches now?

And look for James' head to explode when Obama tanks in the foreign affairs debate.

ET, the greatest mistake is believing your own propaganda. The MSM were clear victims of this, as shown by the outraged reactions of MSNBC last night.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=UiS7GyQKMTE

There's been a lot of talk about how Obama wasn't at his best last night. I disagree. Last night was typical Obama. Last night wasn't superb Romney, simply typical Romney all through the nomination debates. And the ocntrast was glaring.

Remember, all Obama had to deal with in '08 was the rather hapless McCain. As you suggest, he's never had to deal with flat, outright contradiction. So what can Valerie Jarrett et.al. do? Not very much. This is their boy, and their stuck with his limitations.

I'm looking forward to the foreign policy debate. Obama is going to have a fine time explaining that America's power and influence around the world is supreme when, as another SDA commenter aptly put it, "US embassies across the Middle East are burning."

"Now that Romney clearly won the debate and will likely see a bounce in his numbers, look for Kate and other SDA enthusiasts to suddenly start seeing validity in the polls again.

You got that right....but I'm still waiting for Opie to tell us about that private jet tax Obama imposed... Or is that like the time you saw Trudeau on tv giving farmers the Johnny Cash...or how tax credits for recroom renos don't cost the treasury anything?

phil, your single-mindedness is truely astonishing. You'd be blathering about farmers at your mother's funeral, wouldn't you?

pill is sulking Mamba. He's all mad nobody would talk to him last night when he was trolling the debate open thread. His last and only neuron nearly snapped.

cgh, yes, I fully agree. Last night was the real Romney and also, the real Obama.

Obama is not an intellectual; he's not a businessman; he's not an entrepreneur; he's not a developer, builder, analyst, researcher. He creates nothing, he manages nothing.

Therefore Obama has no involvement in developing policies or programs. That's why he couldn't explain them. He's simply not involved with them.

All he is, is a performer of Himself. His skill is in emotional manipulation to present himself as a megawatt 'nice guy' who wants all that's best for you. That's the Performance. The real Obama wants you within his control. And he's very fragile; his need for adulation can't handle criticism or rejection.

I still wonder what the DNC and Jarrett etc will do. They must acknowledge his inability to deal with facts.

Private jets weren't working for him. He's back to farmers, now. It's his safe place.

phil, please stop depending on farmers. Make them suffer by not purchasing their wares.

Was little pee-hill left at the altar by a farmer?

I guess there is a use for twitter in creating finely honed short statements. Some of the best laughs I've had recently were reading the tweets at the link.

Twitter = high tech haiku.

Michelle, before and after the debate.

Sorry, little dead minds, it's just that cheers lance has revealed himself to be completely full of shit, as if any proof were needed. Not that he stands out in this tiresome crowd of hypocrites.

ET, it's getting pretty late for the DNC to do very much at this point. Even a problem with an item in the platform can be difficult with less than a month to go. But when the candidate himself is defective? There's not very many ways to run and hide, or paper it over. Sometimes the trainwreck just can't be stopped. Ask Jimmy Carter in 1980 or Mike Dukakis in 1988.

The only thing that they can do is more of what they've been doing. Go as negative as possible on Romney and the Republicans. Problem is that hasn't worked very well so far. There's not much left in that bag. They've already worked the Bain Capital line to death. And the response meters from the debate show that it turns off the very voters they need anyway.

My bet is they're going to scratch for any good economic news they can find or fabricate about the American economy over the next week or so. They need a bounce badly because the jobs news is killing them.

Black Mamba, a great post. Michelle's face truly says it all. As for Phil, why waste your time? He doesn't understand the difference between tax credits and capital depreciation.

I love that before and after photo, but I love the photo of Romney collecting his papers at the podium even more.He looked cheerfull,Michelle...not so much, but Obama looked completely emasculated.

"cheers lance"

Tigger! Welcome back.

cgh, the next Romney and Obama debate is within a Town Hall. That is, the audience is included to my understanding.

Romney does well on a one-to-one debate, as he did last night, whereas Obama doesn't do well. Obama can't handle being challenged on any of his statements.

But Obama does well in a Town Hall as he misinforms and emotionally manipulates the audience - and the questioner unlike Romney is not going to react to and challenge Obama's answer and say that Obama's answer was inadequate or false.

So, a Town Hall means that Obama's replies will slither through without challenge while the power of last night's debate was that Romney wouldn't let Obama get away with his weak answers.
