Don't let him down? Apparently it's the citizens' job to please the president. Here I thought it was the other way around.

We know that the Obama campaign has heavy overhead. Their strategy was to build out a large operation and do it early. the idea was two fold...bury Romney early, and have a strong get out the vote.

We also know that they spent heavily on ads early.

The risk of that strategy was that they could run out of gas at the end, especially given that Romney was playing a more classic build momentum toward the end strategy. This meant holding resources till the end.

Obama's bury early startegy didnt work and he needs to match romney while maintaining his high overhead operation. He campains as he governs, borrow and spend.

It is quite plausible that they need the top up in the last few weeks since they now have unexpected expenses, and the donors are tapped out, unwilling to back anymore than they already have.

We shall see.

Lucky for the leftards the media is still carrying Obama's water. How many billions would it have cost them to pay for the kind of adoration every entertainer in media has given them? Bradd Pitt, Chris Mathews and Honey Boo Boo don't come cheap.

I believe it was Dennis Prager who was one of the first to posit the notion that Leftism / Socialism is akin to a religion. When I first heard this I was reticent to believe it. But as time has marched forward and example after example after example has come to the fore to support the notion, not only do I now 'think' this is true, I deeply believe it so.

This latest example of the Obama Campaign sending out "You Should Feel Guilty" e-mails is akin to reminders that church-going folks receive about continuing contributions to their religious institutions.

In the Leftist Universe, the Big Government Cradle-to-Grave Nanny State is their god and Barack Obama is their latest prophet. A Black Jesus if you will.

To try to dissuade true believers from their 'religious' convictions is a pointless exercise unless you're prepared to take on a role not too different from a Cult Deprogrammer. Why? Because all of the underpinnings of their world view are completely skewed; rarely based on facts but instead based on feelings.

Some Severe Leftists eventually find their own path out of their religious indoctrination but very few. It takes strength and courage and ... well, math skills.

Now we hear their big Oct surprise is a deal with Iran to pull back sanctions if Iran will stop enrichment.

How many days will that last after the election?

A clip yesterday showed Obama saying "Elect me so I can finish what I started in my first 4 years" or the like.
