"...the NY Times incoming CEO, Mark Thompson, is embroiled in one of the largest scandals ever to rock the BBC."

Strange how many try to protect their own during instances of child abuse, such as with the case of Roman Polanski. Tribal loyalties trumping fundamental decency.

The CBC has any number of equally qualified replacements for Thompson. A wafer can overwhelm their curiosity for months.

And the British pleb are forced to pay a BBC tax.

The whole Savile story doesn't have much traction over here, but it's massive in the UK. Imagine that a revered radio and TV personality - let's say Dick Clark, for argument's sake - had used his position, and the facilities of a major broadcaster, to molest girls and boys for literally decades, while open rumours of his activities circulated from one generation of colleagues to the next. Imagine that he was merely at the centre of a group of broadcast personalities who abused young girls and boys. Impossible?

Now imagine that he didn't look like Dick Clark, but creepy Uncle Kevin from Tommy, and that the general response of most normal people who saw him was an involuntary shudder of revulsion. Imagine that he received every major honour, including invitations to the White House and major civilian decorations. All the while dropping broad hints in interviews and his autobiography of his preferences. And that no one did a thing - including the police - until literally days after he died.

It's really quite massive, and the BBC presided over the whole damn affair.

Imagine being forced to pay for the gold plated, champagne soaked, untouchable life style of these institutionalized child buggerers at the point of a gun?

WTF else does their gubmint have to do to these idiots before they get it?

Does the BBC ever show Braveheart?
I know it's a story but what would William Wallace have done if they were banging his kids instead of his wife?
What happened to these "people".

Why isn't the BBC headquarters on fire right now?

Sounds familiar...

Thompson was appointed Director-General on 21 May 2004.[6] He succeeded Greg Dyke, who resigned on 29 January 2004 in the aftermath of the Hutton Inquiry.

People wonder why our societies have degenerated so badly. Its why most people now get their news from blogs like Kate's. The police where suborned long ago. I've said for years these Child sex rings have been around for centuries. Consisting of the high or low born in every human endeavor . Like lice on the human body. From Judges, police to Politicians.

Imagine that! Degenerate snot nosed English liberals working for the BBC?

I'm sure the CBC would do the same if someone like Strombo or Rick Mercer turned out to be a degenerate sexual predator. The left loves human garbage more than they do responsible, law abiding citizens. They prefer wrong over right, evil over good.
