My Editor Loves Me

Emphasis, mine.

The lines snake through neighbourhoods and people leave hoarse and buoyant. It used to be that his crowds were most excited when he said mean things about Barack Obama. Now that’s not what is getting most of the cheers. They cheer for Romney, the guy up there on stage.

Say what you will, that's a lovely play on words.

...horse and bayonet...:-)

Heh. Well done!

Is that a whiff of Romania I sense in the wind? No, not the country...

The New York Times pens an editorial that could have been written by the DNC...

That's just wonderful!

re. rabbit @7:13 - while you're there, check out Tom Friedman claiming to be "pro-life" (*gasp!*) - which turns out to mean he's pro gun-contol (Oh, Tom, you kidder!).

The NYT can just go fornicate itself.

Black Mamba:

"The NYT can just go fornicate itself."

It sort of is. Or perhaps "hurtling itself towards irrelevancy" is a better description. I particularly like this remark: "Mr. Obama prevented another Great Depression." The president who has done more to terrify business owners and deter investment since FDR is credited with saving the economy. And not a single mention of the soaring federal debt, arguably the most important issue of them all. I guess they're devotees of Krugmanomics, where debt is just an accounting entry.

So funny right now in Calgary on CNN there is a show called Romney revealed ..family faith and the road to power ...and all they are talking about is the storm ...ironically in an hour from now there is another show on CNN right after the Romney one call Obama revealed the man the president ...I bet not one second of storm coverage will carry into his show !!! Lol!!!

Ideas are more powerful than guns. We would not let our enemies have guns, why should we let them have ideas.
Joseph Stalin

It is enough that the people know there was an election. The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything.

And lastly, but probably the most important peek into the commie/socialist mind, Joseph Stalin's reply to the accusation that he had originally agreed to democratic elections in post-war Poland.

"I have not gone back on my word, I have merely changed my mind".

Rabbit,

"Next Christmas in Bucharest" is a phrase to live by, but don't get your hopes up, not yet. Obama will get his second term.

If all Ceausescu had done was starve his people and ruin his country to pay for his follies, he might have died in bed. His real mistake was imposing austerity on the armed forces. Rest assured Obama's cronies have learned from the blunders of Ceausescu and Salvador Allende.

That bump in US government spending in Q3? That was Obama trying to keep the generals onside in case things go too badly to cover up next Tuesday. If hundreds of thousands of loyal Americans show up to greet Obama on January 2013 shouting "Noi suntem poporul, jos dictatorul" (words to that effect), he'll be needing their help.

Dick Slater:

"Obama will get his second term."

I have rarely been so curious as to how an election will pan out. The polls are not consistent, not even compensating for margins of error. And even if they were, elections are no great respecter of polls. I can think of numerous reasons why Romney may do better than the polls predict, but that may be wishful thinking on my part.

I will be in the U.S. on election night. It should be exciting.

Voting machine programers will decide the winner(s) of the election.

There were probably more "friendly's" killed, but the phrase "Benghazi FOUR" may help extend the life of thie story.

"Remember #Benghazi" also will help.
